Poll: Which looks better to you M3 vs M4?!?!
I've had my M4 for literally 1yr today! I'm still totally in love with the way it looks. In my opinion, the lines of the M4 looks sleeker, sexier and sportier than M3.. especially the profile and rear. Most will argue Im sure! Then again, I've always been a fan of 2dr coupes.
Both are great cars and cant go wrong either one of course. After reading most threads on here, i noticed there's a huge debate on which looks better.... and it seems most favor the aesthetic of the M3 over the M4 in this forum! Then im realizing some really wanted the M4 but decided to go with the M3 because of family/kids. ( Admittedly, I almost got the M3 for this very reason... cuz it would've been more practical lug my kids in.... But I would've felt like I would have settled). So just for funzies, I wanted to do a poll to see if M4 lovers (like me) truly are a rarer breed. So which is your REAL preference aesthetically speaking --- M4 or M3? Note: This isnt about which you ended up with... Since both are amazing performance wise. So please Be honest with yourself! Thanks in advance for your participation....and let us please keep it civilized in here. Im sure most will have very strong opinions on this matter.☺️

Both cars look amazing. If I didn't have a family, thus eliminating my need for a 4 door car, I'd grab the M4. But since I do have one and enjoy the fact that my friends and family can get in and out of the back seats a lot easier - I went for the M3.
You cannot go wrong with either. |

I was on the fence because the M3 had the name heritage...but it also had 2 too many doors for me. My wife finally sealed the deal when she told me I had better not buy a 4 door performance car if I was getting rid of my E46. At the end of the day, I like 2 doors and sleeker lines.

You know what their vote is......
Is this going to be one of those threads where all the M3 owners say: "the M3", and all the M4 owners say: "the M4"?????

The M4 is just leaner, meaner, shorter, wider. It just looks beefier where the M3 looks more boxy. The M3 is sexy, but the M4 just has that more aggressive stance.

M3 looks way better IMHO. Looks more aggressive especially when you consider it's got 4 doors. M4 looks plain to me from profile and 3/4 view.
Even the E90 M3 sedan looked better than the E92. |

Some facts on widths and let's face it extra girth is king
M4: 1870mm 428i M Sport: 1825mm 328i M Sport: 1811mm M3: 1877mm Thus difference between M4 and normal coupe is 45mm (20.25mm / 2cm each side), the difference between the M3 and normal sedan is 66mm (33mm / 3cm each side), the difference between the M3 and M4 is 7mm which is 3.5mm each side (hardly noticeable but stance wise the M3 wins both against the normal sedan and the M4). |
