Thought YMB is kinda like the color of factory roofs in my home country, but it was pretty color in person under sunshine, especially that sparkle! If SO was not available for MY16, I would have gone for it.

I do not regret my choice and I cannot deny YMB's beauty. ..I absolutely love how it changes in shades of blue in different light. You don't realize it's a metallic color unless you get closer, then it pops even more..gorgeous.

ForsaBee,
Thanks for the shout out! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YMB I ordered the car without seeing it in person after seeing only the small color sample in the showroom of which my first impression was "that's a nice color to paint a baby's room in". After that, I serendipitously got to see YMB in the showroom on a M4 and was smiling from ear to ear. But even after that I had a little color choice "remorse" when I saw a MW M3 with black 19" rims in the same showroom. I almost changed the color but decided only to change the rims from black to silver. BL - I LOVE THE COLOR! The color change from darker to lighter (pale) I have not really experienced but then again I live in the Netherlands where it is cloudy/rainy almost all the time. Every day where I park it at work, there are people stopping and staring and even taking pictures, so I'm not the only one that loves the color!

If you want a more unique color, perhaps look at the Individuals? If not, unless you live in an area with TONS of M models, you probably won't run into M5s and M6s in that color; you're more likely to run into M3/4s with that color. I've seen the 5/6 in the dealership, and frankly I think they don't look as good as the 3/4 in that color. Either way, I would say get what you like - doesn't matter what everyone else thinks or can order on their car

YMB
I have had the car since last Sep. I absolutely love the color...especially with all the M Performance Bits (splitter, etc).
The pictures of this color do not do it justice. Make sure to see it in multiple lightning conditions because it changes quite drastically. But no regrets whatsoever. |

This thread has been up so long, I think this may be my second reply:
NO REGRETS. Just the opposite: I am more happy each day that I decided to pull the trigger on YMB. With SO interior, no less. It was difficult to break out of the space grey/black vortex, but now that I did, I am so glad.

Thanks for posting this. I'm getting the 18's with YMB, and it's hard to find a picture of this car with that combo.
Think you can post another pic of the entire car? The rear end is clipped a bit.

Your shots most closely look like what I remember from seeing this color in person.

I have a eb2, it looks. Ice, but bit too nice for me. I am not a guy who like car complements. More of a stealth, sleeper guy. Kinda regret i got a eb2, i was from aw. Will go for ss next time or Mg, more low key, less eye catching color

just got mine but I know I won't get tired of it. I should have rolled the windows down in this pic since the SO interior kinda matched the rocks

No regrets in the UK either. Lighter in the sun, darker in the rain / clouds, and doesn't get as dirty looking as my black / grey / silver / white cars have in the past. I have bad car OCD and I can go longer between washes with YMB.

Had it in the states for just a few weeks and love it! Not a ton of attention yet probably due to the cold weather.
