While I will agree that in comfort it can be a little soft (which was nice on the Autobahn on cruise control), when you go Sport or Sport Plus it becomes a new car. Not sayin you are wrong, just an interesting difference in experience. What car did you come from before?

I weighed this decision very carefully when I was ordering mine in June. I looked at every component between the two, one at a time. The only two things I really liked in ZCP were the exhaust and black exterior upgrades. I bought the exterior pieces from IND for a few hundred $, and exhaust alone was not worth the price difference when it wasn't even the vaunted MPE. I did not like the wheels at all, and knew if I ordered ZCP, I would be forced to love the wheels because upgrading them would then seem far too expensive, and make the package even less appealing.
So in my case, it was an easy choice not to get ZCP. |

Well, while I would (and did) order my F80 with ZCP, I would not trade a 2016 non-ZCP if the only reason was to have the ZCP. I'd make sure the car as all the updates and then spend the money you would have lost on something else that is fun. Now, if the the proposition is more or less financially neutral (some guys on the board have swapped leases, etc.), sure why not!

Was going around a fairly high speed bend and the car felt like it was floating about. Had my suspension in Sport+ |

Yeah it's not as planted as say a 911 but then again it is still a sedan. I may look into the m performance suspension upgrade.

However, I haven't put my car on a dyno as yet. And had a look at my friend's dyno graph with his M4 non ZCP, you can hardly see any drop off in power on the graph, but you can definitely feel it. |

Do what fits your budget.
This forum will convince you that a fully loaded car is the only way to go. Don't tick the leather...said no one ever Don't tick the comp box... said no one ever You will only get opinions based on what one chose. |

Just from a financial point, it makes sense to get CP and then just sell off the 20's and get 19's to offset some of the cost. The real upgrades are the suspension, seats etc IMO.

Haha. Those stripes on the belts are so subtle, i didn't even notice they were there for a couple of days during my ED.

Also I think that 17-18 non zcp models probably have the same suspension tweaks that ZCP introduced in 2016.
I think ZCP does not offer enough for the money but if I was buying today I could tick the box and save on other options. Anyway, I saved some money by buying before it was released. I m happy with the car and not sure what would ZCP deliver for me if as I DD my car with occasional back roads fun. Even if I was to go the track, what significant difference I would feel that is worth 5k. On the track where us mortals go, one can be beaten by a 4-cylinder Honda Accord driver if that car is more track oriented and/or its driver is more skilled. Btw I drove ZCP during m control school and non zcp during my PCD. The difference is too thin. But yes I felt it. Bottom line, if one questions ZCP worthiness in terms of cost/value, don't get it. It's not worth it. If your question is does it make the car more of an M, yes it does. Does it make it more fun. Yes. Does it feel sportier, yes it does.
