A few things i'm noticing: 1. The paint quality overall looks good. Alot less orange peel on the doors/fenders/rear end than BMW had on the e90, e60, and I think F10. F30's were getting better. 2. The front bumper has some notable orange peel especially within the nooks of the detailing. However, this may be BMW deliberately leaving extra clearcoat on the front bumper to lessen rock chips over time. I have no problem with thick clearcoat in that location. 3. The DCT plastic surround is, to me, the cheapest looking part in the most obvious/seen location. It doesn't look like it'll age well either. I've seen it in person, it's just reinforcing the feeling now. The DCT stalk itself is ugly too and really draws down the interior look. I've seen a few manufacturers make their automatic trans areas look like manual trans - with leather shift boots and everything. That would be a much better interior execution here. The photos of MT cars have a much cleaning looking center tunnel/shifter area. |

Agree to that. Hopefully it won't take long until you can actually get something nice to replace/cover it with (not even necessarily carbon fiber). But still I wanted to have this little stick instead of the manual somehow

I agree with the plastic surrounding the DCT not looking great, it's strange because the F30 with AT sport transmission gets a leather boot, the M should've came with it too.
