M4 gts Exhaust discussion

Hey guys,

Not sure if there has been a thread for this yet, but id like to see what you guys are running outside of stock exhausts.

Personally I love the exhaust the car comes with, but a little deeper wouldn't hurt, curious to see what you guys have done to your cars on the exhaust end!

Subbed. Been wondering what the addition of this might do for sound characteristics, and if it'd be a direct fit to the stock muffler https://www.akrapovic.com/en/car/pro...71&yearId=5053

Thinking it might deepen/flatten the tone.

I don't see the akra mid pipe making an improvement personally
I've been eyeing the dinan secondary cat deletes pipes and an active midpipe as wel except the active definitely needs modifications to fit

Think achieving a deeper tone is going to be the challenge. Seems like cat deletes will just up the rasp.

Agreed, unfortunately. Catless on the GTS will just up the chainsaw factor, I think

Catless AA downpours and midpipe. I’ve had my buddy VCP tune it with an AA tune to remove the snap crackle pop.

Unfortunately I have no decent video.

Looks like your best bet will be a AA EL resonated midpipe for the enhanced sound.

Adding bottle style resonators like some TR's and a high flow catted downpipe deepens idle and the tone a little, but you lose some volume and rawness.

Every single exhaust on the F8x platform sounds like a shitty chainsaw IMO...The best you can do with the factory twin turbo setup is that weird looking AA midpipe.

If you want to really change the exhaust then you have to go single turbo with a true equal lenght turbo manifold.
