More GT4 parts on GTS

Just thought I'd share due to my excitement to be changing up the front end with a GT4 splitter from Slon.

I already have the GT4 wing from APM, GT4 uprights from RKP and OEM GT4 wheels, so this should help round out the look plus balance the front aero with the rear. The nice thing about this kit is it comes with all the mounting hardware needed so I don't have to source each piece. I'm only grabbing the GT4 radiator mounts separately since Slon mentioned the stock ones would require some small modification but I prefer to swap them out for OEM parts instead.

It is currently en route so I'm patiently waiting but plan to get it on to the car as soon as it gets here, time permitting. I'll post an update then!

You went with OEM for the front GT4 splitter?

Where do the air ducts send air to? Intended to route for Brake cooling by chance (or are those the radiator mounts)?

Those channels direct air toward the intake areas. The brake duct hoses zip up to their proprietary channels on the center face of the GT4 bumper.

Not OEM, it is from Slon. OEM would have likely cost ~5k more plus additional lead time for all the pieces, if available at all

They actually go to the brake ducts as the primary cooling. The ones I believe you are referring to that are in the bumper itself on the little "wings" above the radiators also go to the brake ducts but are smaller

Congrats on sourcing the splitter either way. I priced one out at the dealership that I work at, and employee price is $9k for it and all it's hardware. Absolutely preposterous. You're 100% right on the channels leading toward the brake ducts. GT4 brake duct kit needed to run the whole set up correctly. Can't wait to see how it turns out for you!!!

Haha thanks.

Quick update- it arrived in all its dry carbon glory. Took about a month to clear customs but no issues or duties, and no damage at all, very well packaged.

Waiting on it to be fully ppf'd although my guy uses gloss ppf which would negate the matte finish of the carbon which I love. Just finished installing the mounting points/cables this weekend which was a very straight forward process and all reversible except for a few small holes drilled in things like the plastic radiator shields that sit unseen behind the bumper, but those could be replaced if so desired.

The GT4 rep from APM was matte, but I had it gloss coated before I got it ppf'd. That's always an option as well!

Yea I was very impressed. I'm not going with an GT4 bumper, instead going to modify a standard M4 to fit as I'm not committed to the canards or additional vents that come on the GT4 bumper. Should be picking up the splitter from PPF tomorrow and then can start mounting it.

I went the same route -- modified stock bumper with the GT4 splitter. I'm glad I did as I didn't want to go with the canards (for now).

Not sure I can post links but look up Slon Workshop, you have to reach out to them to order.

That's awesome, glad to hear it has been done. Hoping to install this weekend, shooting you a PM.

The plan was to install this past weekend however I wasn't able to pick it up from PPF until Sunday night so for now here are some pics with the gloss PPF installed. Would have maybe preferred to keep the matte of the dry carbon but this PPF is very thick and protective and is on the rest of the car so I stayed with it. Cut outs for the aluminum skid plates and bolts, all other surfaces covered including inside the ducts.

beautiful! for someone who is already fast in their GTS, look forward to hearing your feedback with the added aero.

Took a mental note and grabbed a bunch during install, I'll organize and upload here later or just PM me and I can shoot you them from my phone. Finally got it fitted up last week, and was busy this weekend getting the OEM GT4 wing installed on a new trunk, will have pics of that up soon as well! First track day with the new aero is Chuckwalla this weekend.
