Finally got the car out of the garage and out to the track this weekend with the GT4 aero! Testing went great, had no issues, will just need to spend some time doing some final adjustments and buttoning up some details. Pictures to come soon, but in lieu of those I'll share an article write up on my car from the good people over at HotCars, and it's got pictures (pre-new aero)! Enjoy

Ok sorry for the delay but finally a few pics from my trip to Palm Desert- Slon splitter and OEM M4 GT4 wing mounted. As mentioned they still need some adjustments but functionally they worked great together, much better balance in the high speed double apex's of Chuckwalla where under steer is normally very prevalent. Plus got a great response from all of my Bimmer Challenge buds in the paddock!

Love the front splitter! Wonder how that front splitter would balance with high rear wing risers and end plates?

With the stock GTS wing? I think that could work depending on chassis setup and tire pressures but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it just yet since I haven't been able to test it at other tracks yet. I'll have a better feel and more of an informed opinion after a few more days I think.

The ducting work is simple. There is no mystery to it.

You simply route the 2" hose through the gap. And cut a 2" hole out of the wheel well. From there you route it along the suspension to the dust shield using zip ties to anchor it in place.

The GT4 splitter's lower duct literally spits out at the bottom (you'll have to cut a 3"ish hole in the wheel well). Honestly, the lower duct is a pain in the ass for normal driving. It will limit the amount of steering angle if you use moderately wide wheels/tires. So you'll have to put spacer/blockers on your steering rack, or just don't turn the wheel as much.

OR you could do like I did -- cut the 3" carbon fiber lower duct shorter so that the wheel/tire can clear it when the hose is not attached. That way you can remove the hose for street use and simply install the hose when you plan on tracking (for me, it's never).

@x.shell but I'm not sawing up my bumper. I have all those pics but would like to see the OP's. Also I am coming out with my own kit for bottom scoops and 2.5" hose. 2.5 is tight but works.

Apologies if I'm not understanding what you're after. Are you looking to see how the underside ducting on the GT4 works? If yes... the answer is that the routing is built into the GT4 splitter. You can see it in the original pic of the splitter when it's off the car. The ducting is built into the splitter and contours the underside of the bumper and eventually transitions into the wheel well. There is no way to do it on a stock bumper without cutting things up -- you even have to cut the metal radiator supports (or buy GT4 versions).

If you are hoping to create some ducts in the same location and eventually transition into the wheel-well without cutting things, the duct will sit so low to the ground. Hell, even if you cut up the bumper, the duct will be so low to the ground. Essentially the duct will be almost as low to the ground as the GT4 splitter itself but without the splitter part to protect the ducting.

Again, I might be completely misunderstanding what you are asking.

x.shell is correct, the brake duct is built into the splitter and sits below the bumper, however they go right through the stock lower radiator supports so those need to be modified (thinned out) or GT4 versions need to be used. Here are a few pics of where the outlets end up, you can see the wheel well needs to have a bit trimmed away for them to fit under, same as the GT4 pic above but without the smaller bumper ducts.

For the GTS splitter, where do you get the brake duct and vent cover?

I think the GT4 has steering lock limiters, or in any case limited steering lock compared to the street car. You may want to check the BW GTMore parts catalog, they offer limiters.

Yea Slon actually provided these limiters with the splitter. I didn’t install them and did notice the driver’s side will rub the duct but passenger doesn’t for some reason. However I’m also running 18x11 +38 with a 3mm spacer up front.

They seem too wide for street use, I made myself 2 of 12mm and it seems to me that they turn little, with 30mm it must be terrible...

I have the steering limiters and the wide tires.

They give you around a turn and a half per direction. Uncomfortable parking but otherwise don't notice it much

Before the limiter intervenes you are scratching the liners pretty badly, with that tire I don't know how you do something different
