Any info or thoughts on a G82 M4 GTS?

Does anyone have any info or heard anything about an M4 GTS for the G series? I absolutely love the idea of a purpose-built from the factory track car like the M3 and M4 GTS and considering each generation had some sort of variant of a GTS to at least the E46, I don't see them not building one for 2026 or 2027 considering the M4CS is looking like a 2024 release and the M2 CS being a 2025 release.
An homologated M4 GT4 or even GT3 car would be absolutely mental and such a missed opportunity if they skip out on such a project.

Yes I know. I said homologated versions of those as a G series GTS would be amazing.

They're making pretty much every other trim for the G series, for them to skip the GTS would be a massive missed opportunity.

The GTR E46 was a one-off idea to get the V8 into the E46, even if they made a similar car for the G series, do you really care if 20 cars are made at insane prices? I don't

My point with that is that the CSL wasn't their ultimate trim nor should it be one for the G series. Just like the F-series GTS was made around 800 units, I'd hope they would do the same for a G-series. I'm not a fan of these nice car builds being so limited that you won't see them ever nor are realistically attainable.

It's a shame BMW didn't make a GTS successor. CSL is lacking big time compared to the previous gen GTS.

Agreed.

When I first heard about the CSL I was hoping for a new version of the GTS.. but nope.. They could've done so much more with it.. Roll bar, Wing, nicer splitter, etc.

Granted, the seats are gorgeous, trunk and lights look badass, it just doesnt compare to when they released the GTS.

Don't we all complain no matter what they release? lol Everyone complained when they released the f8x .. "turbos are junk" "No more V8" "Not a real M car"... we heard it all

That's because their price points don't match the performance the car offers. The CSL is a prime example of that, not to include the markups.
If they can keep a G-GTS below $160K, it could be worth it if they build it to its full potential and minimize a lot of weight (carbon door and interior panels, etc.).
