Look like cf weave (same as the rest) but looks faded to me. BMW might need to clarify

Carbon is solid and shouldn't flex like a plastic part - there's even more flex than an abs plastic bumper

Does the power bulge on the hood sit higher? or is it just an illusion because the sides slope down more than the stock hood?

i'm trying to figure that out too, i think it's same but because it drops away on the front and sides it gives illusion its taller

the bulge doesn't really look any different from inside the car

Engine bay detail

For the car wash guys, you need to lay down a super absorbent towel (I use an old high gsm drying towel) under the hood vent otherwise soapy water will leak all over the engine bay

I coated the strut brace and intake to minimize water spotting in rain

Im not a fan of them with the polished silver wheels

The blacked out bezel only suit the dark tint zcp wheels imo

I gotta say that overall Im not a fan of the coloured engine caps, but the white one suits the white car really well.

Only colour it works on IMO.

Saw the M3 CS last Friday and took a good look at the hood. Looks better in person, but the best angle is looking at it head on. Any side angles and it just looks weird with the power dome and then having it slope sharply down then back up at the side of the hood. You can see it in the above photos.

Question for those who have installed the GTS CF hood:

The install is incredibly simple however for the life of me, I cannot seem to see where the "Adjuster" is installed at (P/N 51767183752). Real OEM shows the aluminum F80 hood has one installed while the GTS carbon fiber hood has two. I've looked at both hoods & engine bay carefully; I must be blind. Ive also taken a look at a few photos and YouTube videos on this thread of the GTS/CS carbon fiber hoods and am not seeing that "Adjuster" in them either. The bottom photo shows the "Adjuster" I'm referring to.

Purchased from GetBMWparts.com and took delivery of my GTS hood last month. It arrived via FedEx freight. Ice covered road prevented the FedEx truck driving the last mile to deliver the pallet. I had a body shop paint the hood and clear coat the underside. The paint job came out incredibly well.
