Yikes. If what you are saying is true, BMW needs to get this right.

The mileage may be from driving the car until the o2 sensor scanned as ready via a scan tool. This may be different in a BMW but after a clearing of codes/monitors the o2 sensors are some of the last monitors to come back online. And sometimes it takes a bit driving before everything is ready. However as for the damage I would be upset and they would have some 'splannin to do.

ok well that explains the miles a bit more now. Im concerned about the paint not matching now on the touch up and as far as my leather goes i dont know how you "fix" a tear in my seat . Hopefully they do not give me a hard time about this i am very meticulous with my cars

That's terrible. I really hope this can get taken care of quickly and that they don't refute the damages/miles driven. Best of luck!

My break in took like an hour and they even still offered me a loaner. Why is it your responsibility to get a loaner when you just bought a new car from them?

I also think you will have a hard time proving this. Too bad you didn't take a picture of the odometer, but sadly they may just say they had to drive it to see everything was all right.

My cousin is a tech at a dealership and he said if you raise hell they'll fix it just to shut you up regardless of who's at fault.

we got a call into the sales manager and hopefully he goes through the right process and gets this taken care of. I do not want to be forced to have BMW NA step in on my behalf

I work at a bmw dealer. This is very accurate. People raise hell and management gives them what they want just to get them to shut up if it's within reason of course. I'd be upset over the rock chips for sure.

F them. Make them fix it. My dealer crashed my car's lower RF bumper into the lift or something on the 1200 mile service. They took photos before the service and told me they'd fix it. The car already had a clear bra. They fixed it by sanding off the clear bra and doing some shoddy bondo crap. I was beyond furious. They then gave me a new front bumper and repaid to have the clear bra redone. They all suck, hardly anyone cares for your property now a days.

That sucks, I would raise hell until blood comes out of their ass! Always remember to let them know not to drive after any service, thats what I do.

If you have a good SA, the person will do a close up exterior/interior inspection before any service. Before I take my car in for service, I make sure its washed and clean so if it comes back out not like it was when I drop off, I know they didnt take care of my car. GL!

I would be incredibly mad.

My dealer takes pics on camera all around before taking in the car. I also take pics of odometer as well for my records.

I also tell them NOT to wash it.

I wish there would be dealers where you can watch the techs work on your car.

yea no call back all day to me translates to they do not care and plan to address when they get around to it cause apparently this in no priority. all of us i can imagine are meticulous about our cars and this is complete bullshit on a 2017 75k car with 600 miles. i never get the dealer wash cause they make more swirl marks and pick up rags off the ground and dry your car! i have witnessed it. Well monday i will be at the dealership to raise a ruckus

You should have raised he'll when taking delivery of the car and always do a walk around before dropping and picking up car , it takes only 5 mins but we'll worth it.

You can't prove the damages were done at the dealership now

Sorry

[QUOTE=MLAW702;21398781]Would you guys make a big deal about this? Car went in to BMW mint with 660 miles and comes out at 703 with rock chips and damage to my leather

This won't help you now, but in the future walk around the exterior of your car with the SA and show them how immaculate you keep your car. I always tell them I'm very OCD about my car. They're more likely to be extra careful with it, plus you've got it documented that there's no ext damage. Another thing I tell my dealership is they are not allowed to drive my car off the lot without me in the vehicle. I've seen too many times where you own a sports car and you drop it off for service and the mechanic has a field day in your car and ends up wrecking it. Just saw on the news the other day where a lady left her dash cam on when she dropped her car off. When she picked the car up she pulled the video up and someone from the dealership was running errands in her car and driving home in it. Good luck, let us know the outcome.

I'm glad I trust my SA rr006rbc so much, I am so anal and afraid of this happening.

I hope something good comes out of this OP. Just keep raising hell, speak with the GM or something. Keep pushing and hope for the best.

That stinks. My next service visit with my 2016 M4 will require a walk around with my phone on video with service manager inside n out. The service tech signed his John Hancock on my center console n left a 4 inch pen line. I fixed it myself as I do not trust them as I caught there mistake n they denied it. My dealer for my 2016 F150 put a 3 inch scratch on door and showed me the scratch , admitted it, and painted the door. So much for luxury dealerships.
