Auto dimming mirrors dimming during the day?

Anyone else have this issue? Recently I've noticed that during the middle of the day the mirrors (both side and rear view) darken while its broad daylight even at midday full sun. It makes it kinda hard to see since my windows are tinted (medium front and dark rear). I've never had this happen in any of my other BMWs and they were all tinted in the same manner.

Is this a software issue? I was thinking of having the dealer update my software to see if it addresses this issue. Any ideas?

Is there something blocking the front facing light sensor on the interior rear view mirror? it's on the right side while seated in The car. The auto dim mirrors work by comparing the front and rear light sensors so if it is blocked, it'll see a large difference and assume you have a bright light behind you.

OMG...you are onto something. I recently repositioned my dash cam up higher and it sits in that exact area on the right side of the mirror. I will adjust and post my findings!

Thanks!
