Cold Air Intake ??

Anyone have a recommendation for a cold air intake system??
Don't really want the expense of carbon fiber just looking for a solid well built system to let my M4 breathe a little better. Reasonably priced would be good as well.
Thanks in advance

1. BMS ($500) Pretty popular.
2. Injen ($600)
3. Drop in filters K/N or BMC ($90-150)

Depending how much sound you want to get out as well go with one of the open air system. Otherwise good drop in filters would probably suffice.

im looking at intakes atm too

very hard to find an intake the isn't ott ricey in whoosh sound when getting off throttle

from what i can deduce bw scant info and vids, awe seems to be a good balance in terms of cost and sound

awe $1,500ish

i had an awe cf airbox on my audi s3 8v a while back, actually ditched the apr intake in favor of it, fit very well and quality was all there - natch no M tax on that platform though

Stock airboxes are very efficient. A set of BMC filters and removing the charcoal liners will be everything you need, minus the bling factor.

BMS and Injen are our most popular options

I am looking at the options as well and my only complaint about the open cone filters is the amount of dirt that now gets sucked into the engine compartment.

Injen. Looks nice, installs easily and sounds way cool. Don't let anyone tell you to do drop-in liners. I made that mistake.

Honestly, they are all the same and will give you equal performance but I just love the look and quality of SSR.

I should have got the intake painted custom Austin Yellow to Match my car. Awesome feature SSR offers!!

Yeah not sure what he means about drop ins unless hes just talking about sound.

I will agree with him though the Injen looks like a pretty good value. I didnt know they were under $500. Ill never be able to wrap my head around non cf 4 figure intakes.
