Update: I'm an idiot. The alerts can be turned off through another screen, no need to touch the g sensitivity settings for me. Can't say i've had any problems with parking mode...i think it's working as expected. Of course, it's usually been parked in my garage this week. We'll see bout this weekend though.

Blackvue DR750S-2ch setup
Great post. Have the same exact setup with the exception that I used the vicovation pro for power management on the cellink. I wanted to be able to turn off parking mode when my M4 is parked in the garage overnight. And thanks for the tip about mounting the rear camera to the brake light housing, I was worried about mounting it to the window tint.

FYI, the rear camera stopped working a few weeks ago. Apparently, the pins inside the connectors on the coax cable broke. Not sure how since they were working up until that point and I didn't touch it since installing. Anyways, I ordered a replacement and I'm back up running now, but just wanted to note it for folks to watch out for. According to Blackboxmycar, those pins have always been super easy to break. If so, seems like Blackvue should improve the design. #2cents

What does everyone think of the next generation Cellink battery Neo? Supposedly more battery time with an integrated smartphone app that lets you quickly see the battery percentage as well as power draw. I like it, just annoyed that I didn't know this was coming when I bought the B a few months ago...

Thanks for the kind words! my celllink b + 750s setup has been great for me as well. Perfect for my driving habits and though it would be nice to have the new celllink neo, my dash cam is just set it and forget it at this point until i need to review footage. the only time the battery drains is when i dont drive the m4 all weekend due to me driving the x5 instead.

did you get a kit from blackboxmycar? or just individual parts?
If individual components, could you share what was purchased? I'd love to do this for my car.

Sorry for the newb question but I've never installed any electronics in any of my cars. Where did you run the wiring through to the front and rear cams? Did you have to cut any holes and did you remove and light/mirror assemblies?
Thanks in advance!

Check out some installs from blackboxmycar's youtube videos. they do one specifically on an m4 i believe, and tell you the route for the wiring. |

I just picked up a BlackVue DR900S-2CH and a Cellink NEO Battery Pack from Blackboxmycar. Can anyone tell me if the fuse location for the F83 is the same as the F80/F82? Is fuse 125 labeled?

After having to move the dashcam from one car to another, I don't think I'll ever stick the dashcam to the windshield ever again (what a huge PIA!). Got me a blendmount for the dashcam, as suggested here. Works great!
If you're looking for one, I got a discount code you can use (wish I had this before, lol) https://store.blendmount.com/storefr...25&aic=4544MG4 |

So for Fuse 125, you can confirm that when you shut the car off, Fuse 125 INSTANTLY loses power, right? I read in another thread that Fuse 125 still has power for about 10-20 min AFTER shutting the car off. If this is true, then Fuse 125 wouldn't be a good choice for the external battery because the car's battery would essentially be used to charge the external battery (and the alternator is off it's not able to charge the car's battery) for about 10-20 minutes. |

Regardless of having the camera or not, the car doesn't turn off on the first ignition switch and that's why your stereo, navigation, windows, etc still work. To fully turn off the car you have to either press the ignition switch again without pressing the brake (or clutch if you have a 6MT) or lock the door. Turning off the engine only and not doing either of the above will let the car's electronics continue to use battery power until the car falls asleep (the ten minute period you are asking about). BMW codes the car to allow this but you can code the car to fully shutdown after ignition cutoff if you desire. I do not know if this will cause conflicts with the auto engine turn off at lights but assume it may but I don't use that function and also don't have the car coded to turn off via first ignition press. What you don't want is to use a power source that never stops but that and the 10 minute drain may not even be an issue because I believe the car will detect if anything is draining too much power and stop it per other post I have seen on the forum.
