Good luck finding a decent hotel in that area too. I stayed in rock hill and it was just creepy

If you're heading out tomorrow, during the M3 lead follow, make sure you get the sakhir orange M3 with the CF mirror caps, and MP flat bottom steering wheel. The car is completely decked out in M Performance parts ... including the M Performance HAS suspension. I think he said that was the only car with all those upgrades. I thought it gave a completely different feeling to the car. Loved it.

Yes I agree, I made sure I picked that one as soon as I realized it was lower from all the others. Luckily it was in the back and everyone rushed to the first cars in the line.

Ask them what brake pads they run since factory pads are not meant for track use...

yeah I noticed that on Monday....the black Grand Coupe` was also tricked out a bit as well...

Most cars had upgraded brakes. The M2s keep having brakes issues as the pads where coming apart. The one I drove had a significant vibration on the left front wheel under breaking.

Thats unbelievable. Why would they make a car for the track that doesn't have track brakes is beyond me.

I'm pretty sure the brochure for the M's all have photos on the race track right??

When I was there on Sat afternoon, one of the M2s brakes were burning, like smoldering. This was raised to the organizers and one of the instructors had to take it on a cool down lap.

The M6 convertible brakes didn't even work... First time I've ever had zero brake input with the pedal to the floor

The Marriott Courtyard in Middletown was new and lots of restaurants in the area.

i liked the ramada. clean, staff were friendly, door had working locks, and restaurant across the street

i think they break them down. who would buy it, and it would be totally irresponsible (if not illegal) to sell them without disclosures. these cars are beaten up, bad. we saw two that had, and i kid you not, smoking brakes...not tires (that happened too), but brakes

There was a thread on here a while back about an M used at the PDC in SC for sale as a used car. Don't quite remember how, but the potential buyer was informed of it's history. I'm also pretty sure that someone asked the guys at the PDC and they confirmed that they are fixed up and sold.

I saw one with the carbon brakes that had smoke coming out of them

I received the same information when I asked the question at Monticello.
