89770 in Euro is over 100k in US dollars
Once again...

He's not using a straight currency conversion.

Looks like he's using a ratio of us base price over GER base price to get a ratio to apply to the options and estimate his price...

Doubtful that we'll get it anytime soon. I already told you guys, BMW USA forgot they introduced them.

For us USA members, if you use Google Chrome web browser to visit this site, you can automatically have Google Chrome translate everything from German in to English so it's easier to read/understand. I did this when the configurator went up for the BMW Belgium site.

Anthracite Headliner is selected by default = standard.

Shadowline is optional.

It is always nice to play with configurator especially when it is a new M car! Played with both body styles and came to the conclusion that there should be a few more classical color choices for these cars like a nice red (Melbourne or Imola) and a nice blue (Le Mans or Interlagos). In their absence, I thought that (on the sedan especially) Silverstone II is the color I would go...if I would be ordering now.

Maybe this is intentional and in time there will be more color options from the Individual Program.

I am not a big fan of the interior color combos as well; best might be to take the cloth/leather option which comes standard in Europe and match it with piano black trim with pearl silver accent.

I am still feeling off with the back half profile of the M4, so liftback style, so long and disproportional while the M3 looks balanced and more elegant but this time without the good looking trunk of the M4!

Maybe first time there will be more sedans sold than coupes with this generation, who knows.

Absolutely. And, we've seen this same configurator used in other countries with other languages, so it's even easily localized. I suppose it may be a BMW EU specific piece of software, but I really wish the US would get their act together in this regard.

Interesting about the headliner. I'll have to take a look. I wonder what they offer standard - Gray? Anyway, I'm sure it will be standard in the US as it was for past M3s (at least E46 and E9x, not sure about prior).

Edit: I see above that Technic has clarified that Anthracite is standard in Germany after all.

Either he did USD->EU, or it's that US cars are cheaper.

I really like the piano black trim, but i've had to live with it in the past and it is a pain to keep clean. Even a little dust or a fingerprint really shows. Carbon fiber I believe is the way to go if you allow people in your car and they don't sit on their hands.

I meant that what Germans are paying 90K Euro for (in configuration I want), while we are getting it for roughly $80K - that's a 56% difference
