If under 3 grand it's a good deal.
Anything at this sort of price is kinda subjective though don't you think? After all, it's a lot of money to replace a presumably good working system already fitted. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice system, I have one, but in reality if I'd have had to pay anything near that I'd probably have given it a miss. But etto, if you're in the market for one for whatever reason, then a good deal really is a good deal...

No, hold out for $5000 that's the minimum I accept when offered free money.

Depends on how magic! Sorry as forgot the most important part of the thread. Red wine must have kicked in.

So about right, any less is a great deal on a new setup. Unless you throw some magic beans in too? Lol

Agreed - I'm still waiting for my dealer to confirm a fitted price to me as part of my new car purchase - if it was close to £2700 - I'd be happy - don't normally see them up for less than £3000. Parks @ East Kilbride was selling a couple for £2750 & that is the cheapest I've seen and they are sold now...

Does the 3k price for the MPE include fitting ?
My current 340i with MPPSK was exactly half the price of the MPE. Don't think the sports exhaust in my forthcoming M3 CP will be as loud as the one in the 340i though |

Well if it isn't you'll just have to get an MPE as that will remove any doubt! I couldn't get below £3300 fitted but as I'm adding it to my 0% and having it on my invoice from a GAP perspective I'm not going to shop around. My dealer felt there was some old stock about which was driving the low price (he was pretty open on the margin they make) as list is over £4168 + fitting with Carbon tips) - I would worry if it was old stock that it might be one that could split as some have noted in the past.

Doesn't matter if it's old stock, any issues you may have will be warranty, so no need to worry

I don't think I will put down a load of dosh for some extra noise. Ceramic coating , HAS & spacers will be done first. Hopefully only another week before I find out how the CP sounds. |

And for the OP, 2.7k is a good deal compared to what's generally available.
If you can get fitting thrown in as well, that's the sweetener. Cost of fitting for the dealership is negligible, they can write labour off at only a few £ per hour, not the extortionate rate for Joe Public!

Is it my age perhaps but I have never been in my M4 CP with the valves open at full bore and thought "what this car needs is a louder exhaust"
I have thought it needs more traction though.

I agree on the traction front, 425bhp and spin up in the dry on Conti's. I've heard MPSS4's are better. |

Reading this made me chuckle. When I got mine I thought exactly the same. I'm pushing 50 & this car's turning me into a teenager again! So now I have remap, GTS software flash, MPE & DP's. AND I LOVE IT
