I'm running stock front tires with the 295/35/19 BMW * (M5) rear tires, no problems.

265/35/19- not so great fit, the taller tire looks tucked, and I was unable to put my 15mm spacer up front because the taller tire rubbed the fender lining when the wheel was turned.

The car feels great though, TONS of grip, really like how the car feels.

I am thinking of trying a 5-10mm spacer just to get the tire closer to the fender wall. I will post pictures later to illustrate my point;

If I have further rubbing issues I am wondering if i should go back to 255/35/19 up front.... i am wondering how adverse of an effect that would have on handling..
Do you have more photos of the 295 in the rear with 12mm spacer? I am also lowered on Swifts but I have 15mm spacers and wondering if that'll be too aggressive (rubbing). Thanks!

I recently replaced the two front PSS with a pair of PS4S 265/35/19. They're much sharper around corners, quieter, and about 20% more confident on the shity SD steets. I'm burning through the rear 275 PSS so I can get some meatier 295 PS4S on the rear too.

Thanks. You have 437M's right?

Also, are you having any straight line (hard throttle) traction issues with current rears?

Yes I have the 437M's. And yes the 275 PSS are simply not enough to put the power down. Even before the tune it was bad. But that's a common theme for the F8X series.

So its common place for the rear to get squirmy on the stock rear 275's?

I'm still in the break in period, and I've only gotten on it hard twice... and both times the car wiggled as it struggled to maintain traction.

This wasn't even full throttle (maybe 80-90%)... and I was already rolling at about 30 mph to begin with.

Getting my 437s refinished and will take the opportunity to get new tires, will go with the PS4S, have not really seen a lot of feedback on these but I am going with: Front - 265/35/19 and Back - 295/35/19 M01 spec. I was thinking of going 285/35 in the back but looks like the spec difference with a 295 tire is small + you would get less width, so I am going to stick with the 295, hopefully, this works out well because these tires are pricey! I have a standard M3 setup (no after market springs just adaptive M susp)

I just installed this setup on my F80 437M wheels. Will post pics later. In the meantime, if you're fussy about perfect symmetry be advised that the sidewall of the generic PS4S 265/35/19 on the front looks significantly different (more squared shoulder) than the rear 295 M01.

Here are the pics. Lowered on MP HAS with 5mm spacers both ends.

Front: Michelin PS4S 265/35/19 (Generic)
Rear: Michelin PS4S 295/35/19 M01 (Merc E63 AMG spec)

The car, the tires and me are new to each other (<300 miles) so I can't comment on performance. So there may be more to appreciate but to be honest if I had this to do over again I wouldn't go this way for the following reasons:

1) Aesthetics: There's is a noticeable (to some) difference between the sidewall shape of the front/rear PS4S with this setup. The front is a more squared shoulder compared to the rear. This squawk is purely aesthetic but if you're looking for perfect symmetry, beware.

2) Tread Width: At only 9.8", tread width of the rear 295/35/19 M01 is only 0.1" more than the BMW supplied 275 Conti's. WTF! I should have read the specs more carefully. Note: The generic 295/30/19 has a whopping 11.1" tread width but it's 1" less diameter than the 35, thereby potentially causing unnecessary nanny interference with 35's on the front.

Bottom line: For the 437 wheels, the PS4S combination I picked isn't a great fit IMO. If I had it to do over I might consider the same 265 front but look at the 285/35/19 for the rear which has MORE tread width (10") than the 295 M01 spec and is closer in diameter (slightly larger) than the front 265.

Either that or punt altogether on the PS4S and look at the tried and trusted PSS options.

If you look at the 255 PS4S generics compared to the 265,the 255 has the more rounded tread, and the 265 much more square. It looks like one was designed for a front tyre and the other a rear. That why I stayed with stock sizes.

thanks for the info. Why then does TireRack list the 295/35-19 MO @ 10.3" tread width? Or this different than the M01 that you have?

I'm referring to the Pilot Sport 4S M01. I believe the M0 spec is the Pilot Super Sport (PSS) not Pilot Sport 4S. It's easy to get wires crossed here....

I just put in an order for a set of MPS4S in 265/35/19 for the fronts and 285/35/19 for the rears, as a second owner of this car the rims are not in the best of shape but I will post pictures when I get the tires in about 2 weeks.

Hey guys need some feedback...

Currently have a 2016 F80, stock set up. Looking at the following:

MS Comp Springs
MS 12F/10R Spacers
Michelin PSS 265/35/19 and 285/35/19

Any rubbing issues?

Also, if I stay with stock springs and no spacers, same tires will be good with no rubbing?

What about the 295/35 or 285/30?

I finally got these tires mounted, work has been insane! Please be kind about the filthy rims.

The imgur link has been updated and I added some notes. As for lock to lock there is no rubbing but the shoulders sit a bit more square and meaty looking which isn't bad but it takes a bit away from the aggressive look of the stretched 255's.

The handling is so much better than my old stock tires, as you can see I drove him in the rain and there was no hydroplaning to speak of.

One thing I really would like to see is some Apex 19x10 fronts and 19x11 rears.
