Diminished Value Claim
I'm not new to a DV claim, but I am new to a DV claim on a limited production, collector vehicle like the GTS.
I'll share further details after my case is closed... In the meantime, I'm curious if anyone has experience claiming DV on a limited production car. Thx in advance! |

No accident involved...just paint damage due to ignorance on behalf of the at-fault party.

This better not be another paint protection film install gone bad... I had a bad experience and Don't want to see this happen to someone else. Best of luck to you.

someone polished on the frozen paint? WTF? it wasn't on my GTS and really no such thing in Canada. Wasn't worth the hassle. |

With such a limited production vehicle like yours, maybe the VDC could step in and assist with blending/shading etc etc? They have probably fixed a few cars that have been delivered to owners without them knowing already.
After my VDC tour, I'm confident they can fix anything to "like new" status!

They will strip the matte clear and respray; hoping not to have to repaint. But no guarantees they tell me. |

Are they BMW certified and trained for frozen paint? If so you will be ok. Get as much of the car stripped as you can( lights, trim ect.)

Sorry about the whole thing...Crazy...
Was going to get the same color but dealer only had Alpine White. No regrets at all and even less now... |

Don't get me wrong, love the color, but the added anxiety is not doing me any good. Going to wrap the whole car. So far I've done the front end and rockers and I couldn't be more pleased. |

hmmm.. i wouldnt want to paint that unless it really needs it. repairing the substrate is doable depending on the damage. contact BMWNA body and paint and have them direct you to their paint tech. they will be able to point you in the right direction.
