How much would you pay for an M3 CS?

The M3 CS turned out to be real after all! What's the highest price you would consider paying for one?

If one buys an M3 ZCP well-equipped with the M Performance HAS suspension - including parts and labor - you're in the low-mid 80's.

So an M3 CS at $90k or low $90s USD (perhaps without all of the interior cosmetic changes in the M4 CS, but with all of the same exterior changes and performance changes that the M4 CS has) could be quite enticing...

I'd have to guess just under $100k for an M3CS.

Personally not interested in the M3 CS, but would like to install a few parts from the performance bin.

My F80 ZCP was right at 80K - so I would guess 90ish would be acceptable for such a car.

I have a strong feeling that at least 75% of the people in the forum believe the $100k+ estimated asking price for the M4 CS is too high to begin with. The reason we want to imagine the M3 CS being priced significantly lower than that is because the majority of us think that that product simply does not represent a good value.

Were you to instead ask the forum what BMW would have to lower the M4 CS price to in order to get members to want to buy it, that figure would likely coincide with what they would pay for an M3 CS. Because, let's be honest: ~$90k for a nicely optioned 460hp M3 or M4 with ZCP and a GTS hood seems reasonable. But $100k+ for that plus an interior that, while nice, almost no one here would pay extra for by itself, and OLED tail lights that, while cool tech, almost no one here would pay anywhere near $10k for, is not exciting too many folks.

But that wouldn't make for as interesting a poll because it's much more fun to fantasize about something we think could happen than something we know won't. No harm in dreaming, of course. Just don't get your hopes up too high for those dreams to come true.

Same as M3 ZCP + aftermarket wheels and R comps. That's pretty much what it seems to be?

I think that's somewhat true - but the extra horsepower and torque (noticeably more torque) and further refined software tuning for the diff, EDC, throttle response would still be missing - as well as exterior cosmetic and aero changes (which account for further price differentiation than merely ZCP, aftermarket wheels and R-comps). The only remaining question - therefore - is how much are those additional changes worth in terms of an approximate $ amount...

30 Jahre is ~$87k with DCT.

Plan to add at least $10k for CS, if it even happens.

So if it comes with crank windows, a sunroof, and an 8 track, you'd pay, what? 110-115?

Hang on, 'CS' stands for 'Coupe Sport' correct?

How does the word 'Coupe' work with a 'Sedan'?

Maybe it will get the 'SS' Badge?

The CS is incredibly poor value. Nice hood, and nice lights, but other then that in many ways its less of a car then a non CS.

No need to ask if there is any news. If news exists, it will hit the front page, and there will be a huge discussion about it complete with spy shots. As I said in my last post, don't hold your breath.

But hey, at least we got to see this hopeless topic surface again.
