Haha thanks! Lot of things to learn on this one. Have a winter set ordered so waiting for that. The drive home last night from Bavaria was REAL SLOW. lol. If there are any hidden features, must do's with some settings etc in the vehicle, please let me know! Also, still looking for recommendations on a decent 3M/tint place... Must do's - have a boat load of fun and enjoy your ///M3!!!! Protective film - go see Troy at AutoObsessed. They do a bang up job and will set you up with all the products you need to maintain your paint. Nothing for a tint recommendation though. Enjoy it and hope to see you around town. Our M3s are all tucked in for winter. But I'm sure we wouldn't miss your Yas around since you are driving it for winter! I drove the F80 on Tuesday and it was getting dicey What year and transmission did you get? Your brass metallic was a DCT correct? |

I will be driving it in winter as I just can't let it sit. On really bad days I can use other vehicles. I had ordered a winter set for my X5M and I just got those a few days ago but since I was getting rid of it I didn't install them. So now I gotta send those back, pay extra and get the set for the M3. Will take a week or so and after that I will be more comfortable driving it. So far it has been fine but I have been driving it real slow. |

Drove all last winter on blizzaks and no problem, no sand bags, justs some starts from 2nd. Car very predictable on snow and ice! Love that heated steering wheel! I would avoid deep snow days or you will have a M3 plow due to front end clearance. They are great to drive in winter!

Fair enough! We are in downtown as well, feel free to wave/chat if you see the YMB M3 rolling around. Chances are it'll be me. |

http://www.blackouttinting.ca Troy at AutoObsessed. They will probably be the only guys that have attention to detail with a microscope. This will be done to perfection, but you will pay for it. They did my Xpel and full vehicle prep on my M. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1104659 Dave/Qui at AvanteGarde Motors. They do a fantastic job at a great price. I have had work done by them before. They 3M'd my Supra. avantegarde motors edmotnon Last edited by 2HIGH~PSI; 12-05-2016 at 12:34 PM.. |

There is a meeting tonight at The Parlour Italian Kitchen & Bar located at 10334 108 for the BMW Club of Northern Alberta. We would love to have you come down to hang out with some like minded enthusiast and we encourage you to join! Not only do you receive 10% off parts and service at your local BMW dealership, you can save 2% off the purchase price of your new BMW vehicle. Caroline and I have joined the board of directors and we hope to inject some youth into the group. Support from local enthusiasts is welcomed. I can already say that our membership fees have been paid by savings on parts and vehicles! Feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Any recommendations on an Alberta shop that is mod friendly?
I know Alberta Motorworks doesn't do installs. Haute AG quoted ~$900 for DP install but they're in Calgary. I'm looking at doing downpipes and maybe lowering springs come summer. Thanks! |

Avante Garde Motors? They have been doing some pretty crazy mods to Lambo's Astons and Porsches.

Is that $900 just for labour? If so, that's ridiculously over priced.

Uh yeah, that's steep. Atlas Exhaust on 99 Street and 51 Ave has done all my exhaust work. They're very good. It's not the most glamorous shop with pointless exotics laying around, but the work is high quality and the price is right. Expect around $300-350 for DP install on an F8x.
