I remember reading that the MP HAS has pretty much the same spring rates as the CP springs while KW's own HAS have a stiffer rate, hence why it can be made to be adjusted lower without risking bottoming out.

So two things...

1. The parts will only be covered under the BMW accessory warranty if you buy them directly from a BMW dealer. If you buy them from any third party, there's no warranty coverage at all.

2. If you buy the parts from a BMW dealer, but don't have them installed by a BMW dealer, the only thing that will be eligible for warranty coverage is the parts cost. You would have to pay all of the labor to replace a defective part.

thanks! a followup question i have is i have read that the dealer only covers the warranty if the parts were installed when the car was ordered, not if the parts were added after the car was purchased. can anyone verify?

lastly, i bought the car used on swift springs.. anyone have experience with having the dealer install the M perf HAS when you already had springs installed? if they will void any warranty on suspension parts, im guessing im better off saving money and leaving the car as is, or spending the extra money to get a full coilover set up. please advise, thanks!

I'd leave the swift springs on there and just save up for coilovers. No point in going from spring to spring.

Anyone here have the lowest settings and notice if the driver's side is a few centimeters higher than the passenger side?

I noticed this too on a stock 3 series. Driver side is higher than passenger side.

M-Performance parts, just like any other BMW original part, match the remainder of the car warranty or two years, which ever is longer, when purchased and installed by an authorized BMW dealer regardless if they were installed at vehicle delivery or after.

I'm trying to compare the drop to my AC Schnitzer springs, which I like, but feel the nose needs down a bit more, weather it's worth the outlay of £1600 for the minimal extra drop I'm not quite sure..

The ride quality on the MP HAS is terrific but this kit doesn't have the most aggressive drops compared to other kits. You may need to consider the KW HAS kit if you want to drop your front end slightly lower. Pre-settled spring drop on MP HAS is 1" while the KW is 1.2".

They are definately lower, but I feel that the grey car above needs the rear raised about 5mm or so because it again seems to have reverse rake.

Here's 2 pics of my car, showing the drop, one pic looks fine, but you can see the reverse rake in the other pic...

I'm happy with the ride and handling on the Schnitzer springs, it's fantastic, but have heard varying reports on the KW HAS. So not sure on that option..

It's the angle of the picture and the freshness of the springs that is making it look that way.

The grey car is at max drop and has a positive rake still because the M3 comes with one from the factory and the MP HAS kit max drop settings are 25mm front and the 20mm rear.

From my experience, the front will probably settle an additional 1/4-1/2 inch and the rear up to 1/4. The owner is planning to raise the rear a bit later depending on his future wheels or how much these settle on his current wheels.

My front was dropped 20mm and I had dropped my rear 15mm to prevent the car from having too much rake

I concur. It's not a crazy drop but looks good enough to get around town and not worry about every obstacle on the road. Plus with an added front lip, it looks nice. It should have came like this from the factory. The OEM front wheel gap is 4x4 in my opinion.

This And a dealer has zero authority to "void" a warranty. Not to mention those springs wouldn't place any more stress on any other parts than the M performance parts will.

M per HAS kit

I was pleasantly surprised on the stance of my Grigio Telesto with M-Per HAS kit compared to my old Dinan HAS kit on my YMB

Shop foreman said the M per HAS kit was not at the lowest setting.

Stunning, that's the perfect drop IMO.

It's wierd how the cars with 666's look to have a better stance on the MP suspension than any other wheels, either oem or aftermarket. I think your pic just sold them to me.

If I can get £300 back for my Schnitzer springs it'll ease the outlay a bit.

Anyone have the M Perfromance HAS with he Dinan front sway bar? I brought my car to BMW to have the Dinan and M Performance components installed and then a week later brought it to a race shop around the corner to have the car aligned for negative camber and corner balanced. While it was there, they told me they adjusted my sway bar to the stiffest setting. After leaving the shop I could hear a ton of rattling, so I put the car on a lift and found the links to be loose for one and obviously not correctly setup to the point where it actually hit the lower control arm upon extension of the springs when the car was lifted. I had someone I trust look at it and they called Dinan to see what the actual link should be set to and they told him they never did a setup with the MPHAS, so has anyone else went through this and came up with a correct setting?

Thanks for any feedback!
