Question LED Interior + Reverse lights

So looked around and haven't really found a company out there that does LED interior lights and reverse light for the F80 M3s with the LED headlights. Apparently it wouldn't work? Anyone able to explain this or have I just been mis-informed?

The only light on the entire car that is not LED are the reverse lights.

All interior lights are LED from the factory.

Have you found anyone out there that makes reverse lights in LED that work on cars that have the LED headlights?

just buy 2 1156 LED bulb's. Thats what your reverse lights are. They are all over Ebay or one of the BMW vendors for a little more money. You will need to code out the flicker though.

Is the trunk dome light LED? I feel like its not in my 2018 M3?

Also the reverse light I thought was BAY9S.

Am I misinformed?

2018 M3 has different reverse lights. Im not sure what they are. I looked at them quickly but havent looked into it further. Trunk light is LED just crappy and dim. Just like the ones in the driver and passenger footwell.

Actually, you can code the brightness of the interior LED lights. I also thought the interior lights were a bit low when getting in/out of the car, especially for a black interior, and was about to pull the trigger on some brighter LED interior lights. The only time the lights come on at full bright is when you press the dome light button. I am guessing BMW did this for aesthetic reasons ?

After the coding, all of the interior lights, including the footwell lights, come on at full bright when getting in/out of the car -which is what I wanted and is plenty bright to me. My car is a MY 2017 but I would be surprised if the MY2018 is different.

I don’t get why we have to push the button to get full brightness, it’s so dumb that they would do that. What sucks more is we have LED all inside our cars so you can even change the bulbs. I switched them all in my X4 to bright white LED bulbs and it’s realy bright inside now.

What did you code for full brightness?

In the FEM_BODY I coded the following (from an F30 cheat sheet I had)...

Cabin Lights On at Full Bright All The Time
3070 IB_WELCOME_HELLIGKEIT_ENTRIEGELN set to: Wert_02 (Werte=64)

Do you know what the '18 is for reverse LED? Will I need to code away the flicker as well? Thanks.

I don’t, I just haven’t had time to get back in there.
