Is the raspy e46 exhaust note a normal byproduct of inline-6 ///M tuning or is this a sound that is deliberately engineered and tuned? Done on purpose or just a natural end result?

Was he trying to run with you at the start? If yes, what was your impressions the first few seconds? Wheel spin?

lol you guys are funny. i dont think they are allowed to play with other cars in traffic much. i'm sure they get that type of thing at every light. he only looked at me and smiled when the light turned green. worked out well as i was able to coast while he went by at moderate acceleration. i also followed him under a bridge so the exhaust got to echo a bit. i got part of that on video too. it sounds good especially for a stock system. i think its more aggressive than the e90's stock exhaust.

and the polo may be slow as a dog but handles quite well especially in a rain soaked track with crappy winter tires. its even faster than an R8 apparently. haha maybe i should post that video too.

If the tunnel video gives an even better sense of the M4 sound, can you post that too? Thx.

Wow, thanks for that comparo with Estoril Blue!! From the car show and configurator pics, I never would have thought YMB is that close to EB. YMB may have just become a contender... and it looks pretty good with the 18's. 19's will look better IMO, and I dig the silver over black.

I think those are the winter 19" 641M wheels on the YMB M3 and not the base summer 18"s...

The wheels in the YMB photo don't look like the 641's to me. They look more like these 513's. The spoke design seems to better match that of the 513.

Possible, the pictures are not super clear. But for me, they look more like the 641M. The 513M double spokes seem thiner and have more space between them. But that's only me.

I hope they are the 18's rather than the 19" variant. I guess it remains to be seen. You'll owe me an e-beer.

I don't know what's wrong with the sound of a Twin Turbo I-6. I've heard 335i's in person with downpipes/exhausts and they sound pretty darn good IMO. Plus the F80 owners won't even hear your exhaust sound if you're racing them.
