I did the 2 day M school last year. In one day you get about 3 days worth of track time and do so in someone else's car and get to jump into the M2,3 and 4. I actually think its well worth the money they charge especially if you get your 850 dollar credit. 700 bucks for a hotel stay, meals and about 7 hours of drive time is pretty solid value.

sounds like fun. Thanks for the info. I'll have to add that to my bucket list

Yup finally got around to looking - one-day car control school $849 value (transferable credit to any other class - as others have previously mentioned) and a two night hotel stay. So in that thermal is not too far from our vaca home in Palm Desert - not so sure about the hotel stay - but think I'm just going to send my newly licensed 17 year old to the teen school

I purchased my 2017 F80 on December 2016 through BMWFS. I have an older 328i.

I was given a USB drive and also a voucher for car control class ($799?) with 2 night hotel stay at either BMW Performance Center in South Carolina or Thermal, CA. I upgraded it for the 1 day M school at BMW Perf Center in South Carolina!! I will be there from Oct 25-27th.

Financed through dealer, but not w/BMWFS. No mention of included hotel stay in my offer, which seems to be the added kicker if BMWFS was used.

How and when are you all getting these? I'm about to lease my 2nd M4 (in the span of 14 months) and 5th BMW. I did the 2 Day M school last fall along with a PCD and wouldn't mind going back for a 1 day M school.

I purchased a new 335xi in 2012(not with BMW financing) and a few years later the invite I received said I had to have owned 3 CPO or new BMWs to qualify for the free event and I only had one other previous BMW and it was used/third party.

I later bought a new 340xi (cash) from another dealer around Sept 2016 and received an invite with the USB stick in July 2017 and it said I only had to have owned one CPO or new BMW to qualify. My invitation also had my local dealership's logo on it so I suspect the dealership may have something to do with registering recipients.

In your case I wonder if leasing doesn't qualify you for these invitations and they are targeting people that purchase to own. In my case I can see the marketing aspect trying to get me to go for an M car or M classes.

When I signed up they asked if I went through BMW financing since they will include the hotel stay if you do.

I ended up upgrading to 2 Day PDS (was able to apply the credit and CCA discount). I lucked out and had a very small class size so I didn't have to share a car and had way more than normal track time. Also the marketing website for 2 Day PDS was off for the Thermal location and they don't actually have off road X course time in the curriculum but there was more performance driving content (more drag racing/slalom time trials/track time trials). Still... I'm sure the M School upgrade would be of more interest to people in this subforum and now I want to sign up for that at some point .

Received the attached e-mail today (9/15/17). I have a upcoming F83 that finished production around July 12th, 2017, ED PO signed July 24th, ED date is 9/25/17. As I mentioned in the other similar thread, lease paperwork has not been signed to date, or even generated. I do know that my 2015 X5 50i has been me getting lots of invites for special events (BMW marketing has been targeting X5 50i owners with 7 series events). My F85 order will be submitted soon, so I'll be interested what 'invites' are triggered.

Can this $849 credit be stacked with an advanced M school? As I have already done the 2 day M school (Greer). If I get a second invite from the F85 purchase, then Ibiza's wife is doing the 2 day M school with me at Thermal. Both cars under my name only, as I'm thinking about leasing the F85 under my business, but not sure if BMW would invite a company.

This is the 'fine print' of the e-mail offer:
"Offer is only available to current, original owners of a new BMW, who have owned one or more ?New? or ?Certified Pre-Owned? BMWs. Offer is valid for one year after delivery date of your new BMW. A Performance Driving School Course may be taken later, but must be booked before the 12-month window ends. Offer applies to a ?One-Day Driver's School? course. Approximate market value ($849) subject to change without prior notice. Limited to one class per vehicle. Value may be applied to any other BMW Performance Driving School class. Excludes airfare, incidental costs, meals and additional charges. Offer is non-transferable."

Me too, don't know why pretty much everyone else got the voucher. Not sure what the deal is.

Just got the USB drive and car control offer in the mail. Third BMW and second M car. I did PCD delivery at the end of September but bought the car outright. Seems based on feedback here the car control class is kind of pointless so I'm indifferent on shelling out another $700 + travel expenses for a one day M class.

That's all I can figure, because I'm on my 5th BMW, 2nd M (all leased) and I got nada.
