"Objects detected on road" notification on dash and nav screen

I have not subscribed to any traffic services and this statement plus a yellow diamond warning box popped up in place of the 3 icons the normally tell the settings of the steering susp and throttle. (As well as on the big screen.)

Anyone else have anything like this happen?

(There weren't any objects in the road)

I've had this happen many times. Only once did I see an object. It was a truck tire tread. Cool feature but not super reliable.

I've seen once and it was accurate that one time - about 20 pairs of shoes scattered on the freeway a mile ahead.

I had it pop up too was not even using nav at time.

Interesting. In Bay Area you can find bumpers, tires, couches, mattresses, tabletops, all kinds of stuff on the highway. Never saw this useful notification though.

It's happened once to me but I'm not so sure there was anything in the road. There was a really big bump though. Not sure if thats what triggered it

I've had it happen to me once. It's accurate but annoying that the warning sign stayed on for the rest of the trip.

I've gotten it 4 times now and have yet to see any objects or debris

anyone know what happens if the camera-thingy (driver assist package) will show as icon when, for example, pedestrians are detected? An icon of a guy running across a street? since I've got the option, I'm literally "looking forward" to it

It has happened to me about 4 or 5 times....most of the time the objects are on a side street while Im on the freeway. Only once was there actual debris in the middle of the road. It did help because it was in my lane.
