shooting in public is irresponsible, just like driving fast in the wrong place.

driving fast on an appropriate highway is like shooting at the range. great place to go for it

EDIT: Fair balance, I am driving though alabama soon and you better believe cruise control will be set right at the speed limit. it isn't just canada in the middle of nowhere with draconian traffic law enforcement

Wow what a hoot, that was fun. Because I decided that it was safe to do this and really who am I going to hurt the street appears to be abandoned. I would call this reckless endangerment or a total disregard for others safety.

Anyone have a problem with this? OK read on.

Next days headline "A drunken teenager fell asleep on an abandoned couch last night and was found this morning riddled with bullets."

It is the same premise, you do not have a right to put my safety or anyone's safety at risk because the road is empty and I'm going to push my car as fast as it goes even though I am heading to a track to do the same thing.. Now I understand coming home from a ski trip 6am on the highway on a Sunday morning, now that is an empty road and getting on your car for a couple of quick bursts of POWAA. But really 92 mph over the speed limit is dangerous and stupid I don't care how empty the road is..
Nice analogy.

But what if that kid had grown up to be Jeffrey Dahmer, or Adam Sandler, or Tony Romo? You could have saved dozens of lives, spared the world from countless bad movies, had a QB who wouldn't throw int after int when it counted.

So I think we all now agree. This brave and noble Centurion elevated mankind that fateful morn. We, who are about to speed, SALUTE YOU!
