If you need a car now instead of several months from now, yes. I needed a car in May because my prior daily driver M car was totaled. Thanks to the model year change over, I wasn't going to be able to order one and get it before August or September, even on euro delivery. Fortunately, a local dealer had one with almost everything I wanted on it, and made me a great deal on it.

Camp #1: ZCP transforms the car, it's a NEW car, OMG I traded my 15' non ZCP and lost thousands of dollars because I had to have the latest and greatest, love the Satan wheels, love the burbles, the ride on 20s is fine. Best $5000 if spent in my entire life.

Camp #2: I can't tell a shit of a difference in ride/handling quality, HATE the wheels (even in person), HATE the seats without lumbar support, seat belts belong on a lime green Mitsu Evo. Waste of $5000.

Regardless of all of the little cosmetic tweaks that people may not see the value in, the most important thing to note about the ZCP cars is how they put down power. I've driven both and it's night and day difference on full boil. The ass end on a base car will get super loose on full throttle vs. a small-moderate but manageable kick on the ZCP. Go drive both versions back to back but make sure you drive them aggressively.. only then will you understand.

After all, power is nothing without control.

To ZCP or not ZCP

So my question is....... Is ZCP really worth it at 4700? If someone dislikes some of the package additions.

My preferences....

Dislikes:
the wheels
stock tips that are coated black

Take it or leave it:
Cut out seats

Likes:
+19 hp

I have a feeling the so called increased dynamic steering, suspension settings, DSC and diff settings can be achieved with the GTS coding that is already being offered. And the ZCP does not include a performance exhaust upgrade.
Also for those that are JB4'n it does the ZCP mapping cause any complications using it over the std S55 programing?

So is it worth and additional $4700 if you building a car when your going to change the wheels, add a JB4 and get coding?

Just curious what feedback thee is and in no way am I bashing ZCP packages just curious

In short, yes zcp is very worth it.

If you want more information, search the forums, there has been threads of owners who had both and all of them prefer the ZCP.

Yes.

Easily most value for ur buck in terms of options and also resale value.

U can always dump wheels easily and pick up a set that suits you. If u go oem 19 you will come out ahead by about $1500 usd

I ordered comp .... wheels are sold before car even hits dealer. Used that money to buy wheels I liked. M4 CS wheels

I am still intrigued but my concern is that if I mod it like my last, HAS kit or coil overs, JB4, exhaust, different wheels, Alex@Alpine coding is it really worth the 4700 bucks. I am just trying to justify getting a package that will make the car a major stretch. Such dilemmas

+1

Keep in mind if you desire a personal set of wheels/new exhaust/tune, that it could easily run you $10,000+

Resale value can be weighed on whether or not you're leasing or financing.

Yep, I am buying like last time, I already have the JB4 from the wreck so good on that. I never like the BMW wheels and really hate the ZCP shoes so they are a must to go. And 300 bucks buys you all the GTS flashing for the other controls. Now I would love the ZCP over run and +19 hp but 4700 clams is a lot

I actually like them. And often I look at the custom wheels people put on here and they're as proud as punch over their new purchase, and I think that's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I would seriously not even thank you if you put those things on my car. I'd be hunting your ass down with a red hot poker...

So yeah - I guess taste is a personal thing

It was worth it to me - big difference compared to the non-ZCP version I drove in 2015.

It was the deciding factor for me to get the car.

ZCP with 666m if you want traction.
Stock tips turn black with soot anyway.
Seat cut outs? Won't notice unless you need a lot of lumbar support.

I used to not like them, but they grew on my very fast.

I liked them even more when they changed them for 2018.
