Nice!

I like the whole point system with different variables

As for the laptime.. that's bonkers.. faster than 997 GT2 RS, Turbo S, Nissan GTR.... Lost to the Aventador by 0.10 sec....

That 0-200km/h 12.9s time is quite faster than the advertised BMW numbers of 13.4/13.6 for DCT/6MT

Comparing the times from the article to fastestlaps.com, the RS5 would a good bit faster than an early R8… which is why I wonder if it's the same configuration.

According to this, the RS5 is faster than the R8. How can that be?

I think it's *possible* against the original V8 R8 though the RS5 still weighs like 400 pounds more than it.

Anything is possible. If you told me the RS5 just edged the R8 V8 out I might believe it… but 3 sec on a 90 sec course is hard to explain.

Interesting, the 0-100km/h is not that great but the lap time is off the chart. Lap time can't be that good ? ?

Well the fastest lap time list doesn't specify which magazine tested it and only 3 list the driver so unless I'm missing it, it could be the difference in drivers. But yeah a 3s difference is quite large.

The jury is still out on the course itself. Still pretty impressive.......until Audi releases the new RS5. I think 2016 it's due...is it not?

Looks like my post moved.

I hope we can get some confirmation on the track layout they tested the cars on.

I think the new A5/S5 are due in 2015 as a 2016 model. The RS models typically show up later in the product cycle for Audi. I would guess around 2017 as a 2018 model.

With DCT and CCBs but without leather seats ... Weight of this car 1.615kg vs. 1.788kg for the RS5.
