We are having coding issues though.

Full adaptive works, but angel eyes, turn signals, and amber corners don't work.

After trying an exhaustive amount of things he is going to the dealership tomorrow to have the whole car programmed using the custom VO I wrote to the car that has LED's in the VO.

Hi, I have the same problem as you with an f30 from 2011. I've installed the LED adaptive headlights from an non LCI F32 and I don't know what to try to make these headlights to work. I've checked the wiring several times and all seems to be right...
Maybe there is a problem with conding. Can someone help me out? PLS I don't know what to do!!

What kind of wiring has to be done? From my memory they have the exact same connectors on the back of the lights.
Thanks,
Nick

I am interested in doing a retrofit as well. If anyone can point me in the right direction as to what exact parts are needed & coding instructions, that would be extremely helpful. Thank you.

To follow up with my post, thanks to an amazingly helpful member of the forum, I was able to get the LED headlight retrofit performed on my M4 this past weekend. He performed the install on his driveway, and programmed/coded the car with no final error codes, and it works like a charm.

I love the look of the LED headlights, and functionality-wise, I feel they are definitely head and shoulders above the adaptive bi-xenons, especially with the way it lights up the road. So, thank you again, if you are reading this!

I am interested in a how-to for coding as well. I've been on the hunt for a set of adaptive LEDs but don't want to pull the trigger unless I'm absolutely sure I can get them to work. I have the Active Driving Assist, so I should be good to go as far as having the proper camera already installed for full adaptive.

I'm curious about one thing - how did the installer ensure the headlights were aligned correctly after the install? I did the ONEighty blackened headlights and after the re-install I couldn't get them aligned properly. One is pointing a little lower and off to the right slightly.

Also, the phrase is "all said and done," not "all set and done."

I'm not too sure what you mean by that they are aligned properly. I know as part of the coding, you'll need to teach-in the headlights. Although I can't say for sure if you re-install the SAME headlight after removal, if you'll need to teach them in again.

Otherwise, if the issue is what I think it is, where the cut offs don't align properly, you'll probably need to do the manual adjustment on the headlight itself, instructions are in this thread: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1291833.

Was wondering who you got to assist you with it. Kindly pay it forward, as I would also like to get this done also and am in the GTA. Please PM me with details if you can. Appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks!

I was wondering as well? The harness was never noted in the post. Also are you able to code the euro style high beams if the leds are retro fitted?

As no one want to share, here is a little help for who wants the LED lights retrofit.
Part number for harness is : 61122410239, and in attach you will find original documentation.

I just got my harness and my Adaptive Led are on their way to me, hope to get them this week and I will update my post.

For coding part, I will try to code FEM with 552 (Adaptive Led) added to my VO and removed 522 (xenon). If there will be no result I will try other FDL codes.

Hope to get them work, and I will keep you updated.

Wish me luck!!!

Until now only bad luck, my headlamps arrived but one is broken and the other one doesn't work.
So far coding is OK and simple, I managed to code and start one headlight , left one witch is broken, the right one doesn't want to be coded.
If someone know some headlights for sell, Adaptive LED, complete and in good conditions, let me know please. I talck to previous seller and he told me that he will change them, but I don't know when. I will update as soon something good.

Sorry about the bad luck on the headlights. Definitely keep giving us updates, really glad to see more guys taking the plunge as I'm really interested in doing the retrofit but have no clue what I'm doing. Waiting to see more guys put together diy threads

Also waiting to see the difference between retrofitting LEDs vs retrofitting the new LCI LEDs. I would think it's not much different. Anyone have info on the LCI lights?
