Question Which looks better? Front Lip Paint Question

So I ordered the Front Carbon Fiber Splitters / Front lip for my M4 but I am having a hard time figuring out which looks better...... To have the front lip in the stock black color that it comes with or paint it to match the car's paint?

Mind you, the car is a convertible 2018 M4 Competition Pack so it already has the black kidney grilles and I've also ordered the OEM Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps.......

What do you think?

I kept mine black because I also have the black side skirts, if not for that I would have color matched it.

yes I forgot about that, I did order the side rocker panels AKA Side Skirts as well so I guess black front lip would look / match better

Thanks

When I was at EAS friday there was a sweet AY M4 there. one of the details he did which I thought looked really sharp was adding a pin stripe of the AY to the front of the lip instead of painted the whole thing or leaving it alone. Have you considered this options as well?

Do it in gloss black to match the high gloss shadow line - do the side skirts the same as well !!

Yes but you must have seen where IND and others have painted the pinstripe in the body color - that looks quite sharp/an almost factory look, and is the only way I'd do that on the front lip - adds a classy/sophisticated look vs the more aggressive all black look - either one is a win in my book - personal taste decides (mine is all CF to match the CF side skirts and rear diffuser).

I'm thinking about doing mine in Line-X color match...

Don't judge until you've driven a lowered car in a Calgary winter

Speaking of lowered, does that front lip cause any problems when you are going down on slopes in like a building parking or a mall underground parking or does one have to drive really slow to avoid it from being scratched? Car is stock so not lowered or anything

Yes, any lip that is lower than the stock front and protrudes past the stock bumper will make ramps more difficult. No avoiding it; physics.

It's a pain in the ass where I live... I always envy the roadways when in Scottsdale or San Diego

I have mine black unpainted. I have to say that the thought crossed my mind many times when seeing people with body color paints on their lip or the pinstripe. However, I keep telling myself that it's probably going to get scraped/damaged at one point so I am not going to spend money on something that will break. Hopefully I continue to fend off these thoughts LoL

It depends on the colour of the car....with YMB I think black looks better
On my Mineral Grey I painted it because I think it looks better painted.
