Best oil to use for my 2015 m4 ?

Want to change my spark plugs and oil on my 2015 m4.
I currently have (charge pipes, intakes, jb4 and a full exhaust.)
Went to add DPs but want to change sparks and oil. Any recommendations ?

Any LL-01 oil should do but you may want to run a 40 weight since you are making more power. I run the tried and true castrol 0w40 in my M3.

I’d highly recommend the MOTUL 8100 X-CESS 5W40.

You can run either depending on your weather, if you live in cold climate 0W30 would be better but 5W30 will work as well, MOTUL makes specific LL-01FE 5W30 which is approved by BMW. Above mentioned 8100 X-cess 5W40 is LL-01 not a apporved oil for S55 engine, its missing FE which really just means fuel economy just fyi

Have been running Pennzoil Euro 5w-40 for 3 oil changes now. I noticed that the engine was operating quieter than BMW M specific 0w-40 i had before that. May be a placebo but i love it

I use an ester based motor oil called Red Line. Specifically their 5w50. My 2016 F80 DCT has 69k hard-driven miles with zero oil leaks from the oem turbochargers.
