Hub rusting from spacers?
I've had my f80 for 2.5 years now and have from the beginning had turner spacers on the oem wheels. I've always noticed that water will sit within the hub after washing the car and noticed some rusting within a year when I would take the wheels off but now the rusting is so bad I'm going to have to replace the hubs sometime this year. Has anyone else had this issue? I like the way the spacers look but I'm not ok with replacing my hubs every 3 years...

It's normal. Mine does the same thing. Just use some sand paper to sand it down. Then spray it with rustoleum to protect it.

That being said, it's not in a state that would require a replacement. Try what the others have said; use a rotating wire brush on a drill, some sandpaper to remove as much rust as possible. You'll be amazed how much of that will come off; 99% of it will just fly off with the wire brush. Than spray it will some Rustoleum silver or black to prevent the rust from coming back. |

I recently got the 7.5mm turner spacers and noticed there is condensation that builds up inside the spacers on cold days after driving the car. Sucks. I'm probably going to clean up all my hubs and coat with POR-15.
