Suspension feels great. Very tight. Smooth. And flat.

Power delivery from 1,000 rpm to 5500 rpm is amazing. 6,000 to 7300 rpm are a little slower. I'm guessing heat soak or the cats are choking up the car.

Off the line this car is BRUTAL.
Great! Now go find a scale and give us some real time weight metrics. Right after that put that thing on a dyno to see what we got going on.

Do it.

tightie, thanks for the update. A few questions:

- do you have a VBox?
- car has DCT like your E92? How is it? Comparison?
- car has passive suspension (coil overs later)? How is it? Comparison?
- how do the new brakes (I see they are non-CCB) compare to E92?
- steering compared to E92?
- did you notice active sound?
- how were the seats?

Not trying to bombard you, just figured I add some more conversation starters.

Heat soak is a concern, especially if you weren't giving it the full beans. I know it was HOT, but yikes.

Hopefully the butt dyno just had a little error .

Dude has 100 miles on the car and goes to the track...Bearings, rings, etc are not even close to breaking in. Friction causes heat. Don't worry about it.

Track update:

Track was a blast. I only had 100 miles on the car, so I wasn't completely thrashing the car... If I had my track wheels on, that's a different story.

After your 1200 mile service it should open up more as well.

Power

The comments on power up top are consistent with flat hp at those rpm levels. It means torque is falling off.

Makes for a hell of a party

Enjoy the car its beautiful you have definetley convinced me about YMB if I go the M3 route. What made you go for the sedan this time around?

I just hope somewhere down the road like in 2017 were not reading about you on here about spun bearrings. And BMW Gmbh taking note saying "hey arent you the 1st guy to take delivery in the U.S. that took his car to that track with 100 miles on it". Warranty denied...yikes...

Enjoy it safely and when you have time tell us more about your impressions of it. I cant stop looking at the pictures its freakin beautiful.

Congrats Josh! I can't wait to here your review as I've been waiting on someone coming from a supercharged e9x m3 to give their opinion.

Sick dude! I did pretty much the same thing. Except I did the break in service and then left the dealer and drove my M5 on the Nurburgring. Your car looks so awesome!
