You have tires and no wheels. I have wheels and no tires.

Though not shown on Discount Tire site, have you called them or one of the Atlanta Locations, as @cpt smuggs says he purchased his through Discount.

I would also suggest that if your buddy who owns Butler Tires is important enough to be brought out to the Palm Springs Swagfest/ Event, he has the juice to call his Michelin Rep and they will find him a pair as a favor.

That's because they are two different model tires.

Continental does not offer the SC6 as a replacement tire in the US, so there's not the availability of a variety of sizes that Europe has. The main role of a replacement tire in the US is the ExtremeContact Sport, while the SC6 is only available in OEM model-specific replacement sizes... in the US.

When you compare the Conti 6 and the Extreme Contact Sport on the Conti website, both tires score equal except Continental says the Extreme Contact Sport has better handling and mileage. Both tires are equal on fuel, traction and quiet ride. Now that's the manufacturer saying that about their own tires, not an independent tester.

Butler should be able to pull a favor from Michelin based on your previous posts on your relationship with the Owner.

lol at the people in here ordering PS4S as replacement with the hopes it's so much better than the MPSS.

Guys let's finish our MPSS slowly and then consider a PS4S and let's not compare the 285s to the star spec 295s especially. There's not enough/comparable tread size on the 285s and the rubber is still nearly the same.

Still to this day I think the PS2s are still a really good tire almost the same as the MPSS/PS4S. Just my .02 .

PSS was a big jump from the PS2 in terms of tire construction, technology, weight (less), price (less), and performance. The jump to PS4S is a lot in wet weather and economy. Not much in terms of dry grip.

Funny in you thread you claim UTGQ means nothing, but use it in this thread...lol.
Reread my posts. I've never said anything about UTGQ.

Go to http://www.continentaltire.com

Select performance tires then click the + next to the two tires you want to compare. Do this on a PC, the mobile version doesn't allow you to compare on their website.

I think most of us in here who have ordered got new wheels which require bigger tires. Its not just to swap out.

I will have to disagree with you here. Going from PS2 to PSS on my E92 made a rather significant difference. I saw equally big leaps going from the original PS to the PS2 and then from the PS2 to the PSS. I am eager to find out if the PS4S will provide as great of a leap.

And honestly I would not mind getting the PSS but they are going to discontinue them shortly so no point in buying PSS now only to have to replace the rears well before the front need to be changed avoiding having to have mismatched tires or wasting money on replacing the fronts when not needed..

Although my fronts are still pretty good shape, I worn out my rears in 9K miles (stock ZCP sizes). I was willing to replace all 4 with PS4S but like many of you experienced, the dates kept pushed back. I couldn't wait any longer so I ordered 295/30/20 Star spec PSS just for my rears. Hopefully my next set wil be PS4S
