Does the MPE only come as a slip-on / axle back system or is there a full system up to the stock DP available?

Also is there 2 different makes you can have the system in such as stainless steel or titanium? Or is every MPE system titanium?

TIA
No, no, no and yes. MPE requires you cut your stock exhaust and your only option with an MPE is the tips, titanium or CF.

Reviving this thread, what’s a good price point to start negotiating on an MPE with my local dealer? Anyone have a success story of scoring a decent discount?

Get a akrapovic evo if you want a proper titanium catback.
Mpe is somewhere in the middle of a catback and a axleback.

Hey,

Editorial: Yeah, Why does everyone offer to "PM" on pricing?!? If you're not a vendor, Just post it!

Ok., a few month's back I was also looking into the "MPE". I knew and was in awe of "Akra." but, …the Price! You're paying
mostly for Materials and Art! (F.Y.I.: You CAN still get the mid pipes.)

Of course, this was before I came across, "AA", "Awe", the "Turner" Mid-Pipes and the new, as of yet unreleased "Holley Blackheart".

Notwithstanding, I can see the logic of wanting to keep your car as "BMW" as possible.

* Global Imports (Atlanta BMW): $4,309.50 + ($235.00/$281.00 ea.) Tips.

* Pacific BMW (BMWpartspros): $3,851.00 + ($208.00/$249.00 ea.) Tips. - You can e-mail and get an even better price via quote!

* Tischer (GetBMW): $3,995.00 + ($215.00/$285.00 ea.) Tips. - e-mail Jason and he will try to Price Match any quote.

* Jake Sweeney BMW (Cincinnati): $4,056.00 (Including Ti. Tips?)

Be sure to consider, confirm and (even) negotiate Shipping charges.

I have also seen -15% off BMW coupons come about occasionally and Tischer also offers coupons at the start of each season.

Your best bet is to get the Best e-mail price quote, including shipping and present it to Jason for assured service.

Cheers!

There is only one version of the MPE and it's made of titanium. It requires cutting the stock exhaust aft of the cats. The new exhaust has a flared forward end that slips over the stock piping and is clamped. It's not an axle-back system. I installed mine with a friend's help.

Hey,

No. It's a mix of materials.

I believe the rear silencer/muffler is what's made of Ti. The rest is S.S.

Cheers!
