If a customer ventures over to the car my sales team is trained to immediately point out that it is not for sale and no touching. Sometimes on weekends if it's bug season here in Florida it will get washed that night in the dark and still receive a proper washing in the morning. My kids do not ride in my car that's what the X5 is for. My floor mats are always covered in plastic that gets replaced once a week. I only get gas from one station because I know the fuel is good. I always let my engine run for 5 minutes or so before leaving I don't care if I'm running late or not. I never take my car shopping so I have parking issues unless I'm taking the wife to publix in which case she shops while I wait with the car. If I drive it to dinner I will only go to a place with a valet in which case I offer a nice tip to park my own car and take up 2 spaces. I never get close to another cars ass end to avoid road rash and I'll literally get off the road if I see a rock or sand truck. I keep hand sanitizer wipes in my car to clean my hands before touching the steering wheel. I refuse the free auto butler car wash at the BMW dealership. Basically I am a fu@!&ng mess!

Wow, after reading other people's confessions, I don't consider myself too OCD about my car.

1) Always fuel up at Shell stations with 93 octane
2) Always fold in side view mirrors
3) Always open/close doors with door handle (training my girlfriend to do the same)
4) Always where gloves to not get sweat on the steering wheel / shifter
5) On average, unless I know of a good place to park, I drive around for 10 minutes to get the safest parking spot available which usually means no cars parked in front of me if parallel parking with very little foot traffic to avoid jealous asshats
6) No eating
7) Always make at least one lap around the vehicle to check for scratches / dents / rock chips
8) Anytime I go through a tunnel, I always go WOT to hear my beautiful MPE

Since this post I realized I have a few more that got left out and I developed some new ones after reading some that you guys posted. One I didn't post but I have always had is I keep a large towel folded in four in the car, I use this to sit on due to the fact I only wear Rock Revival jeans. If your familiar with the brand they have large buttons on the back side that will leave marks in your seat. I am also very careful entering and exiting the car so I don't wear out the bolsters, I even have a very specific procedure for both. I also carry an extra sitting towel in my car in case I am carrying a passenger. As for my newly acquired habits, I to am now folding in my mirrors and making sure the a/c is off before shutting down the car, thanks to all who brought those two things to my attention. Just what I needed a thread to make me more crazy!

I get my lower body workout from maneuvering out of the car seat so I don't put too much pressure on the bolster or run the leather.

I make a buffer in front of me before I pass trucks at a high rate of speed.

I keep a microfiber cloth in the glove compartment for emergencies.

On long drives I bring ONR to do touch ups on really dirty spots

Probably more.
I thought I was an only child but you could be my long-lost brother.

So, everything you said plus the following:

- I vacuum my interior daily.

- Upon exiting the car, I move the seat back fully so that I don't rub the thigh/rib bolsters upon exit or re-entry.

- No eating/drinking in the car (only exception is bottled water).

I can't wait for you to have kids. The breakdown post will be epic when you discover a crayon has been smuggled in.

I won't consider myself full blown OCD, but I hate any prints or crud on the inside of my windshield, on the outside as well, but the inside is totally in my control, so I have a small bottle of glass cleaner and a micro-fiber cloth in the car - and this is not just the M4, but my beater S4 as well.

I really dislike dirt on the floormats...I probably take the driver's side mat out and shake it out at least once a day. If people sit in the other seats, I usually take them and shake them out after they are gone.

Glad to know I am not the only one. The worst part of cleaning is when I wash the under side of the car. I like to say I clean my car not wash because the process is so much more than just washing that is just the start of the process of cleaning. My wife understands and we have a cover for her seat so nothing ends up on the leather when she rides with me.

I was so stupid this morning and brought coffee in the car. Such a bad idea.

I don't think I've ever spilled anything in any car, yet first time I attempt it in the M3 I overfill the cup and it shoots out a few blots of coffee onto the plastic surrounding the cupholders. Thankfully it just landed on plastic so I was able to wipe it up, but lesson learned. No more drinks in the car period.

Cant believe I did that.

You can do whatever the fukk you want in my car outside of smoking and taking a dump? I wash it once or twice a month if I have time and throw all my trash on the passenger side until I have a passenger. Then find somewhere else to put it. Mostly Snickers wrappers and Diet Coke bottles. I like going to the dealership because they clean it for me.

Before I get in my car, I make sure to click my shoes together several times to get all of the lose dirt off my shoes. Don't need that snow dirt/sand in my M.
