Question For those with DCT, do you use the paddle shifters?

I'm not a fan of the paddle shifters and like changing gears via the gear select lever. What about you?

I like both: a mix of thumb-clicking, wrist-flicking the paddle shifter and the stalk shifter when I'm in my DCT car.

I only consider it 'gear rowing' when I'm in my manual cars: holding the steering wheel steady with my left hand, moving the shifter with my right hand, clutching with my left foot, and using the brake and gas pedals together, with my right foot.

I really don't know how they do it where they drive on the other side of the road. I'd have great difficulty shifting with my non-dominant left hand!

Every day, every time I am in the car.

Rare exception would be if I happen to get stuck in traffic, then I might not use them. I just like the crispness of the shifts and doing it myself 99% of the time.

You should add an option for those that use as an automatic. I always used the paddles, but I suspect most people don't shift manually

Paddle shifters-- I always drive with hands at 3 and 9 and the paddle shifters are perfect for me.

Paddles for me. I rarely shift using the dct knob.
I'm probably 90% paddles and the remaining 10% is left in automatic mode due to traffic or pure laziness.

If I'm not sport driving then I'm almost 100% stick unless I'm drinking coffee or trying to grab my wife's boob or something ... then I'll use a paddle.

If I'm sport driving then it's almost 100% paddle unless i'm on a straight away

Guess we're both in the minority. DCT stick, unless it's spirited driving in the mountains...or track - then paddles.

When car was new paddle shifters. Now almost always gear stick. Easier and reminds me a little bit of driving a true manual.

Exactly. I just can't help myself. I love the M4s stiff suspension as It helps create more jiggling

I use them every day. Only in situations when I've to steer a lot (U-turns) I use the shift knob.
