The sales tax basically washes out. The 3k loss in purchase price made up in 8k off sticker on new car. So, with no extra money down, note will be 4K more.
Hope that makes sense.
If you are fretting about $4K to correct your mistake and get what you want when we discuss purchase of 70k depreciating asset, you probably have hard life...
P.s. I m in a similar situation where what I want in my car is a 6speed manual instead of current DCT and my loss would be 20k plus (after 2 years) Now that's is something to chew on....

20K is not that bad over the course of two years. Most people lease at a very similar rate. Plus 2018 has lots of new upgrades to offer and the manual will make a big diff in driving character. You may be able to get a substantial discount to offset some of your depreciation. 7-10k discount on 2018 are not unheard of right now.

My problem is not about the cost... Its deciding if its worth the effort to make such an incremental change. I'm going to see the MG tomorrow maybe the tony Tanzanite after if there's time...

Just stick with the car you have dude! I'm also one of the lucky ones that ordered my ZCP M3 in the summer and got the free Icon headlights without ordering the ZEC. I've driven a few loaners with the ZEC and I don't think its worth the cost. The HUD was nothing special and the heated steering wheel took 15 minutes to warm up...

then you ought to have your steering wheel checked because I can feel the warmth within 2 minutes of turning the steering wheel heating on

I've only turned on the heated steering wheel once.

I was at a red light, turned on the heat function, and the steering wheel started warming up before the light turned green.

Didn't time it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a minute or less before I could feel the warmth.

Don't think I will make move on grey... If anything would do tanzanite...but thats still darker than I want.

At this point, probably wait for next M to change color, hope they offer a nardo or new M2 silver hockenheim on G80(pray for manual offering). Color palette kinda crappy for F80... why no limerock grey on base car, lol

Lucked out with with free ICON 552 LED tho and can live without rest of ZEC pack. Think you're right., maybe not worth the effort. Will decide tomorrow after i visit dealer.
Will this change ur mind, coming from white too

There is a thread on this somewhere but most are blown away by the heating system in this car. Much more efficient than previous generations.

I'm referring to the heated steering wheel, not the HVAC, which is what you seem to be referring to.

My comment was in response to someone joking that it takes the wheel 15 minutes to heat up, and a response that it takes only takes 2 minutes.

But I am very impressed with how quickly the HVAC starts blowing warm air - it is awesome.

I'll agree to that again, the steering wheel definitely heats up in approx. 2 mins.

I mentioned the whole HVAC because BMW surpassed all my expectations concerning that and other daily used (cup holders etc) amenities on this generation.

Cool I have to admit MG was not my color choice initially and was looking at BSM which ultimately is a boring color like white, white M3 looks the best imo but having white cars for last 5 yrs I was bored with it. I then started checking the MG thread under photos and the color grew on me and it looks better in person.

Always wanted dark blue but Bmw does not have it in their color list and quite like the Azurite black but it costs extra money, dont like YAS for some reasons .

Good luck and see it in person before deciding

Thx! I placed a small good will deposit to lock in.. My mind is now playing tricks on me.

Had AW 135, BSM 135, MG M235, now AW M3. I wanted MG M3 but went for AW to change up. Now that's I have AW I miss the stealth and edge MG. I also feel like AW needs all CF part to look complete but then it also looks like a tuner car cop magnet here in NY. I live in a suburban neighborhood where fast furious look is shunned lol..

So, I'm leaning towards MG and zec pac. I feel like its a better fit for long haul. Its more under the radar but also gives you extra tech that can save ur but..

Last piece is accepting starting over and pushing the financing an extra 4 mo. at least I have extra warranty. I lose out on the fact that I bought the AW in oct 17 as an 18. Half model year of extra depreciation so to speak. Im just splitting hairs probably

Any chance you are a bmw cca member? That's an extra $500 towards this deal (you get one rebate per calendar year).

And no matter what, do this deal!

And don't get greedy with the dealer, because this is an amazing deal and you won't get the same or near if you order (but I do love tanzanite!)

Ps. Join BMW CCA if not already a member. You would be up $950

It's not boring, it is just sooo over done That color has been available on every damn BMW since the beginning of time. They need to change it up a little. Heck, even rename it, we won't know the difference - call it BSM2

Here's some crappy phone pics. Out with the old. Thanks for all the help peeps.

For better or worse.. done deal. So far, couldn't be happier!

They made me an offer I can't refuse. Car looks great in my opinion. Mean and stealth. Less presence than white but more aggressive without carbon bits. Hope to do proper into springtime!
