Any specific problems for certain model years?

Hello Guys,

I am looking to buy a base M4 (no tune, no mods, no drama) with Harmon Kardon Sound, DCT, Heated Seats.

What I am concerned about is any known issues/problems in 2015/16/17.

I have a budget of 50K (all cash) and looking for low-miles car.

Thanks all.

All the years are equally reliable, no major issues thankfully.

Yeah, the M3 has proven to be one of my most reliable cars ever. I haven't heard of any specific problems for any specific model year. They really dialed things in right from the beginning.

Some people had some one off issues here and there, and that's to be expected no matter what kind of car you get, but even those cases were far and few in between.

Ditto.

Just get the color you like and call it a day. If not going for a CPO car, then make sure to do a full PPI before buying it.

The F8x has been extremely reliable in general. Of course a few issues pop up here, that is to be expected. Overall nothing to be worth noting. Forums tend to blow up small problems more often than not. Aka, don't worry about it.

The S55 isn't the S65, it's a solid engine. Noise aside anyway.

33k 3.5 years, bullet proof. knock on wood.

some rattles, but i have that with all my cars.

had a window washer nozzle fail and replaced, and possibly a door lock is starting to fail.

but honestly, i don't consider any of these a big deal.
