Azurite Black M3 - Silverstone or Black Interior?
I've ordered my M3 but I'm second guessing myself on one last thing - the interior. Current spec:
Azurite Black Metallic Black Extended Merino Would a Silverstone interior be to stark on that car? I live in Texas, so a cooler interior is a nice thought. Just wondered if it would be too much? Am not really a fan of any other colours offered. Thoughts? EDIT: Should have added that I'm getting ZCP if that makes a difference. |

Yeah - would certainly be contrasting. Just wonder if its too much.
Am semi worried about the Azurite Black Metallic with ZCP which blackens the grills, side badges and trunk badge. I'm not really wanting a "blacked out" car - even considered Mineral White instead. Hence was thinking maybe color on the interior might break it up. My current F30 has the Piano Black with Red accent, red stitching on the seats and wheel etc - the M3 has less accent on the inside. |

Silverstone will contrast well, but if you're OCD like I am, prepare to be tested. I love my Silverstone interior, but I also go to great lengths to maintain it.

What sort of maintenance do you do on yours? I'm OCD about the looks, but because of back diseases I'm not so inclined to get on my hands and knees and scrub it every weekend. Is it fairly simple maintenance or more involved?

Jean transfer, dirt, etc. You'll need to clean and condition it at least once a month to keep it looking new I do realize you dont like any of the other colors, but if you want to spend a bit more $$, cohiba would look great with azurite. Still dark enough to not stain, but really a good contrast

Well I may be in a different situation than you are. I am generally the only person who is ever in the vehicle. I have had a passenger in the back seat once, and only a handful of passengers in the passenger seat. I clean my driver's seat every time I wash the car (..mainly the seat back and seat bolsters), and I sit on a white shirt during day-to-day commute driving, so I don't have to clean the seat bottom as often; I still scrub my driver seat bottom every two washes. Sitting on a white shirt really illustrates how dirty our clothing gets as we move from place to place, and how it transfers to the car. I wash that white shirt weekly and just shake my head in amazement.

I should have said - original spec on top of ZCP also includes ZDB, ZEC, ZLP, 5DP and 6NS. I think I've stretched my pocket as far as it will reach |

Both would look great, I like the silverstone slightly better, just to have a bit of character. But parts of me don't like seeing the silver interior through the rear window and such. I think it can distract from the paint, so I might want to tint my windows dark, and expose the interior by rolling down windows. Or just go with black to keep it simple and stealth.

I really regret not doing euro delivery. If you have the time, go for it

I really wanted to, but it's just not working out. I have my Dad and his wife arriving in June for a week, plus other things happening over summer. I don't think I could do a Euro delivery soon enough, so only other option is to delay it until about September. But next car for sure!

Sonoma beige may be a good middle ground, shows great contrast with TB and would look great with your AB. U can see some pix in a thread i posted and if u want others just let me know. Black gets boring!

If those are the 2 choices, I'd say black for aforementioned lower maintenance burden. Get Spectra Photosync or ceramic tint to help diffuse heat. I'd also go full leather before spending more for a different color extended leather, but sounds like you are already spending plenty and ultimately it is a personal choice.
