Rear diffuser question

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Does anybody make this so that it can cover the exhaust tank? It's the only thing I don't like about the rear. I hate that it's exposed and not fully hidden by rear diffuser..

Aerodynamics is limiting factor with covering that low. Would be cool if it was black or clean looking material as I agree it's ugly

I remember some e92 guys were using heat resistant spray paint and painting it matte black. It actually looks better.

I guess that will be the cheaper solution. Hope some of the after market guys can design something better. I can live w/ a little aerodynamic compromise...

Looks much better when the exhaust is black. I had mine done after seeing the contrast of the muffler under the diffuser.

Does the trunk open with foot sensor release? I am wondering if these aftermarket diffusers are covering up the sensors.

it looks like it will most definitely will cause some issues. The rear bumper diffuser is made out of polyurethane and much thinner than say....CF topped with Resin.

A lot of people seem to be having issues with it. I for one, can live without the foot-kick. I've done it before, never had it in my other cars, and I won't miss it.

trunk sensor doesn't work after you install new diffuser on mine, and also others who have installed it.

for me doesn't matter bc I never used it anyways.

Thanks. Too bad. It's a nice feature but not a deal breaker fortunately.

If it actually reached under the exhaust, wouldn't it be able to actually have air channels on it to, you know, diffuse?

Cool. I'm hoping the vorsteiner diffuser that's supposedly coming out next week will be better but it will cost a lot. I'm starting to lean towards this paint job.
Thanks for sharing
