Cheers.

The wrap actually looks good. I remember seeing it in other colors as well.

It does. Frankly, I like the ///M Performance Alcantara covered trim too. Another alternative to CF. Choice is good.

Cheers.

That wrap does look good. I'm going with the CF but it's a tad too shiny for me. Oh well, 1st world problems.

Oh no, my CF trim is too shiny. It's nice to bitch about things like this

+1000

Some of the M Performance stuff in particular is just downright offensive

I'm considering selling the OEM CF trim and buying the Alcantara. It's much more purposeful in that interior IMHO.

@Jockey

1st World Problems for sure. LOL!

Carbon Fiber:

+ looks great when brand new, clean and with no scratches/swirls
- feels very cheap to touch since you're actually touching the plastic transparent layer, not carbon fibers
- shows all the dust = looks bad
- can't touch it when it has dust particles on it and can't touch it with anything else than clean fingers, otherwise you'll scratch and swirl the coating layer instantly
- it looks terrible when scratched

Aluminium
+ matte, real natural material finish, instead of a plastic layer
+ pleasing to touch a natural material
+ doesn't show dust particles
- gets very very hot in sunlight
- if you scratch it with e.g. keys or phone, it's going to show as a deep wide scratch, worse than on the plasticky carbon fiber

I'll be picking up my F80 in a few weeks and I'll take plenty of pictures of the AB trim as well as the rest of the car

I hate waiting!

Looking forward to this. AB looks like it has some horizontal details/ridges that should make it interesting to look at. The glossy CF just isn't my thing.

If its like the AB on the M5, I've seen it in person and did not like it. I prefer CB trim.

I just saw those pics. It appears so white.
They're a lot different to the official pics of the bmw´s configurator.

Got a few screen captures of trims from a couple of new videos on youtube. The M4 has aluminum blade trim, the M3 has wood trim.

I think AB works best with black interior, and CF works best with SO and SS interior. Wood might work with Sonoma. Both wood and Sonoma are kinda meh to me.

Sonoma goes best with CF trim (just look at the few pictures we have of it - it's a stunning combo). Wood goes best with black if you want wood.

AB just does not look good to me.

Sonoma is a reason to get a Lexus, you are right about the AB though.

C'mon Lups, embrace your true feelings about beige.

AB looks markedly worse than the aluminum trim I had on my E46 M3. Glad I went CF.
