Sliding Armrest fix

Hello everyone,
I searched here, YouTube, google but all I could find were guides for fully changing out the armrest. I just want mine to see stop sliding back-and-forth. I swear I can hear a screw sliding, any help with this would be awesome. Thank you very much in advance.

I ended up just buying a new one. There is still no fix that I am aware of.

Reviving an old post. Was looking into updating the armrest with the M Perf Alcantara armrest from IND. Anyone know if this will resolve the infamous sliding armrest issue?

If you buy a new M performance armrest, the "issue" will be resolved.
I bought mine from Ebay for about 280 shipped but that was a few years ago.
IND has ridiculous prices.

Used alcantara OEM arm rests are going for about $300-$400 here now, the price is worth the upgrade especially if you have the sliding issue. I saved my OEM leather one in the event something happens.

It will fix the issue as the unit comes as a whole piece, inclusive of slider, that cannot be separated (at least no one is sharing if they have) and the rear vent trim has to be removed to replace. Takes about 30 minutes to do the whole job.

No way I'd pay 3-400 for a used one...https://www.bmwminipartssolutions.co...yABEgL9JvD_BwE
