What is your Fuel Open Loop set at? You really need a back-end flash or you'll need port injection (and E85) or meth injection (and E85). You need to run Map 1 or map 4 (stock boost) for now until you can get this sorted out. |

You're running aftermarket turbos, correct? And no, even on the stock turbos map 2 is a too aggressive on ca piss.

Map 2: Slightly more aggressive version of map 1 intended for vehicles with exhaust modifications and 93+ octane fuel. Can also be used with E85 and racing fuel mixtures. Requires Stage2. Stage3 fuel connector suggested.

It probably won't help you much since you're running pure turbos, but you should increase your FOL to 70 and if you have a ZCP, you can go to 80 safely. However, a good BEF will go a long way in helping your situation.
You're going to need more octane though. Do you have access to E85? |

Yeah I drive 15 mins each way to get E85. A bit of an inconvenience but the car runs so great on it! My car is only a weekend car and I only fill it up about once a month tho.

Update: Removed plugs and tips were black with only 6k miles on them. I was told it was due to running rich with the e30. Replaced with Ngk 97506 gapped to .020.
Holy shit!! Car pulls like a rocket on map 1 so far. Can't believe I missed out on the power lol. I never felt this consistent power from the jb4 since installing it. I recommend anyone with jb4 to gap the plugs even if you aren't having any issues. Now it's time for map 2!!

I do not advise re-gapping plugs just because. If you are having mis-fire issues, absolutely and even then, you should still try and run as much gap as possible. Picking an arbitrary number and gapping all the way down to it without working your way down from stock gap isn't smart. As for these NGK plugs, who told you to run those over the stock plugs? Do they cross-reference to the stock Bosch plugs? I'm not trying to piss in your Cherios. I'm glad you are running good now, but I think you probably gapped down too far, too fast. |

I said to slowly gap-down from where you were and that you might have to go down to .020. That was with the stock plugs, a different plug will react differently, especially considering possibly different indexing. Ive always said to run the most gap you can without misfires. Every setup will be different.

Map 2 requires the Fuel Pressure Sensor connection, yes. Map 2 also requires 93 or better octane. I personally agree with needing downpipes to help raise the detonation threshold slightly (by less backpressure) for pump 93. If using E85 mixtures of E30 or better (ZCP) or racegas, you can get away with the stock downpipes for map 2 or better.
