Sorry for the late reply. I don't know what you're using to code or what "FDL" and "E-Sys" mean.

I use BimmerCode and a OBD2 blue tooth adapter to "code".

That's what I was asking earlier. BimmerCode only does certain "comfort" things in certain modules.

I guess I was asking what you can do with your programs and what is needed to do it.

I don't use BimmerCode so I can't comment on it. With E-Sys, you can VO Code or FDL Code anything you want, and Program (flash) ECU.

I've already filed a support ticket with BimmerCode, but it's been a few hours and I haven't heard back, so I'm going to ask the community.

My 2020 M4 was just at the dealer for service for several months. Got it back yesterday, and wireless CarPlay is working perfectly, but my full-screen CarPlay coding seems to have disappeared. Tried to re-code it with BimmerCode today, and I get an error message when I go to the Headunit module - "Error while reading coding". I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and made sure it was updated, and I'm able to access all of the other modules in the app.

Any ideas?

No - my car had CarPlay from the factory. I previously coded it with BimmerCode to be full-screen, but now I'm getting the error when I try it again.

Typically this only happens with BmmerCode if Head Unit is not in factory condition. You will have to see what their support tells you.

Interesting. I haven't modified the head unit, and was able to code it before I took it to the dealer for service.
