yes it was!! there was a silverstone M4 parked right behind my car. i got there around 1pm. it was the only one i saw.

Excellent post dsm. I just saw this. I scrolled down your list eagerly awaiting to see what your number 1 was. I was kind of not surprised but a little surprised. I too observed all of the colors while at Bimmerfest.

I have a couple of notes.

The very first time I saw the F80 M3 in the flesh was at the Washington D.C. Autoshow back in January. The car they had at the show was Silverstone II, and I thought it looked completely badass. The first F80 M3 I test drove was a Mineral Grey and that color looked so boring to me. I think Space Grey is better than Mineral Grey and Singapore Grey is the most engaging grey I've ever seen and I like Singapore Grey a lot. Plus I also don't like the fact that you can order a base 320i in Mineral Grey.

I agree that for me, Austin Yellow is at the bottom of the list, but I will admit it is the most polarizing color for the M3/M4.

Here's my personal list on color choices for the M3 and M4, if anyone cares. Lol!

F80 M3:
#1: Yas Marina Blue
#2: Black Sapphire
#3: Silverstone II
#4: Alpine White
#5: Sakhir Orange
#6: Mineral White
#7: Mineral Grey
#8: Austin Yellow

F82 M4:
#1: Alpine White
#2: Mineral White
#3: Black Sapphire
#4: Austin Yellow
#5: Sakhir Orange
#6: Silverstone II
#7: Yas Marina Blue
#8: Mineral Grey


Also that was my blue M5 next to the Yas Marina Blue M3. I parked there purposely because I wanted people to compare the two colors. My M5 is Riviera Blue and not Laguna Seca Blue. I get people asking me all the time. Lol! It's just a vinyl wrap, but I get people coming up asking me all the time how much a paint job like that costs cause they think I painted the car and they freak out when I tell them that it's vinyl. Lol!

Anyways, if it were in the market for a new F80 M3 or F82 M4 I wouldn't even bother with one of the Priority 1 colors, I'd wait until all of the Individual colors were fully open for order and I'd get something really really different and good. Here's a few examples of what I'd get in no particular order:

- Frozen Black
- Frozen Silver
- San Marino Blue
- Frozen Yas Marina Blue
- Riviera Blue
- Laguna Seca Blue
- Singapore Grey

Also, I completely agree with your statement about owning Sapphire Black Metallic in the Northeastern United States. It's IMPOSSIBLE to maintain on this side of the country, it precipitates way too much here. In California it never rains, hence the bad drought right now and I never had any problems keeping my Black M5 clean there, which is also one of the reasons I decided to vinyl wrap my M5.

Hi, did see you revving your car quite a few times Sounded good. Did you manage to sell the parts you had out for sale? About the color choices, I agree we all have different tastes. The main goal of this thread was to capture all the colors in one thread, well almost all of them except SS2 that I missed seeing I agree on Space Gray and other interesting colors but the thread was limited to what's available at this time. I am curious as well because I currently drive a SG E90 M.

Thanks dude. I lost count of how many times people asked me if my car was painted that color and how many times people asked me to rev my engine. Lol!

Yeah I had a couple of nibbles but no real takers. I'll just sell them on the forum. No worries.

Shoot, I also forgot to add Moonstone and Frozen Moonstone to my list back there. I like Moonstone better than Singapore Grey.

#1: Austin Yellow (what I own)
#2: Mineral White (what I originally ordered)
#3: Sakhir Orange (what my next M4 might be)
#4: Alpine White (nice if you can't get MW)
#5: Black (beautiful but too hard to maintain for mortals)
#6: Yas Marina Blue (love it but don't know I can live with it)
#7: Mineral Grey (nice but just too stealth for an M car)
#8: Silverstone II (also nice but too much powder blue tones for my taste)
