might as well have a gt35R single turbo with 10" intercooler on a civic. its faster than your tuned 335. doesn't make sense right? |

Since i will likely never track (due to insurance reasons), it won't make sense for me to spend the extra $$ on next level performance/handling which Ill never use on public roads lol. I kind of want a car which is exotic super carish , sounds exotic, big engine, small chasis..and able to kill most cars stop light to stop light. Specially these damn 911 turbos that keep popping up in my area haha. I still am very interested in the M4. I may have to return my 335 prematurely due to the excess kms...my CA said get an M4 and the dealreship will call it even. So yeah who knows what the future beholds. But either way, I want a crazy crazy ride I wont get bored of. I highly respect the M cars and Ive always wanted an M3

now a tuned 335 is more exotic than an m3? the m3 is not exotic at all but if you want to call it that, a stock m3 is more exotic than any 335. unless it was a 335is of course!

Two things: Im not a track junkie, I don't want a stripper M3 with zero options just for the sake of saying I have an M3. Loaded 335is > Base M3 for me. Secondly, I lease because I dump cars after 2-3 years and am risk adverse, the warranty makes me sleep easier at night. An M3 coupe would have been $300 more a month, about 40% more than im paying now. M3 Convertible would have been even more.

Around $700 a month, 15k miles a year, included wheel/tire insurance and lease end insurance. $2000 down. If you want to put down $5k and do 10k miles a year, im sure an M3 is feasible for that range.

but 5,000 miles at $0.16 is $800 a year. Split that into 12 months and thats $66 a month. You could have gotten lower monthly payments if you took 10k and bought miles. $0.16 is at a discount - I believe in my last least on my f30 it was something closer to 10c a mile.

I wanted a convertible no matter what. If it was a matter of coupes, the M3 would have won. The M3 convertible was not that fun to drive, the lack of torque was crap and I liked the LCI styling on the new 3er's more. I got the best of all worlds, 7 speed DCT, great cruiser engine N54, great MPG, and good looks. It was a good fit for me.

I don't know how an M3 could be $300 more per month unless you're putting ungodly mileage on your leased vehicles. Maybe that was the M3 Vert ($82k vs $70k? You have made it, man! You can afford an M3! Next, we just need to help you realize it isn't worth paying an $8,650 premium to add ~400lbs to a performance car. But if Verts are your thing, then so be it. In the end, it's your money and the smile on your face should be all that matters. |
