My dealer told me it was status 11 last time I checked. I don't have a VIN. How do I know how far along production it is? I have the production number.

Call BMW canada, they can give you status updates until it leaves the factory. You just need your production number for this.

When your car enters production you'll get your VIN - email your sales person if you dont get it.

After it leaves the factory you can go to https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage and put your VIN in the cargoID and it will tell you when it arrives at the port and then when it gets loaded onto a ship and which ship it is.

once on a ship, you can then go here, put in the ship name, and track the ship:

And just to emphasize my experience - once you are told that the car has left the factory, BMW doesn't track status and there won't likely be anything posted to the WW site until the boat is just about to leave or has actually sailed. So that means about 7-10 days where you won't know for sure what's going on.

When did you car arrive Halifax?
If it says delivered from Halifax on the Wallenius vessel, honestly doesn't really mean nothing. lol
My car's been in Halifax since June 30 and still not on rail. Dealer says ETA is July 27. I want my damn car now

My Porsche arrived in Halifax on July 2 and got onto the rail on July 11 and now heading to T.O. ... projected date to my dealer on July 18. About 1 week delay in all.

Apparently my SA says no special treatment since all the cars (all brands) have to be shipped by rail. I think it's matter of luck.

My car has been at the port since last Monday (July 7th).

The AIDA has officially set sail today, July 15th. My vin still shows no record on the site.

Is there a chance that my car is on this vessel and it hasn't updated (like some have said, it takes a day to update) or am I being too optimistic?

Yes they are slow at updating. I don't see why your car wouldn't be loaded on this vessel.

Just fyi once it arrives Halifax expect to wait (again). My car's been in Halifax since June 30 and still as of today does not show up on CN's website when tracing. I was told ETA to Calgary is June 27. Not sure if they can still make it for month end because it takes about 11 days on rail.

Wow, that's a terrible feeling. That for me will be the hardest part, knowing the car is in Canada and not being shipped.

However, I have heard several times that the CN rail tracking service is atrocious. There is a member here who was in the same boat as you, in terms of the car not showing as being transported, and then was notified the car was already received at the dealer. It's not the first time I've heard that the CN service is sometimes not accurate or updated. In that sense, maybe there's some hope?

Yes CN is crap to be honest. Maybe since you are in Toronto you many not have to wait so long. I just hope my car is already enroute. I asked the SA this morning but have not heard back.

A friend of mine had his 435 arrive at Halifax last week Tuesday and the dealer called him today saying that they have received it (Toronto) and began doing PDI. So hopefully yours will be there soon!

Well that's certainly interesting. My M was on the same boat, so hopefully got onto the same train. I'll feel more confident if we hear that E92LNGCGY's M shows up in Calgary (correct?) in a few days
