Yas Marina Blue on Silverstone F82 M4 + H&R Sport Springs + H&R Spacers

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I figured I'd throw some pics up of my new Yas Marina Blue on Silverstone M4. Picked up the car a couple weeks ago and so far have put about 500 miles on it, and I have to say I’m astonished with the performance and overall quality of the car! Coming from a 2013 Mini Cooper Hardtop, this thing feels like the Starship Enterprise LOL!

I optioned the car out with DCT and the M Adaptive suspension from the factory, knowing that I would be looking for the overall greatest performance while still retaining some sort of comfort for my daily commute. After I took delivery of the car, I like most of you, took notice of the excessive level of wheel gap that the car comes with from the factory. After putting around 250 miles on the car and not being able to tolerate the 4x4 stance any longer, I decided to give my friends at Supreme Power Parts a call and scheduled an appointment to take my car in to have the H&R Sport Springs + Spacers installed. I researched these springs quite a bit as I do have the active suspension, and after having put a couple hundred miles on the car I find that the springs work exceptionally well, especially in the Sport Plus setting. Regardless of how you look at it, for the price these springs are an excellent value proposition!

I have been dealing with Eric for years, and I have found his level of professionalism and accommodation to be unrivaled within the automotive aftermarket industry. Not only did he take care of my needs in a timely manner, but he also was able to have me in and out of there in no time while proving me with a SMOKING DEAL! Eric, Nick and Tam did a phenomenal job on the install, and needless to say I am extremely satisfied with the end result!

Whether you’re located here in So Cal, or half way across the globe, Eric and his team will be sure to give you the best deal on anything you need. I’ll admit to being a shopper and a bit of a penny pincher, and Eric definitely beat out the rest of the competition and has earned my business for life!

The M4 looks exponentially better when it is lowered. I still wonder why they have such a tall stance from the factory. Thanks for the photos!

SMURFDADDY love the look!

BUT

sorry for the newbie question. But isn't having such an aggressive spring make for per-mature blow out on the shocks? since its under load more etc.

Last thing i want is a bouncy boy racer like those civics.

The armchair chassis engineer in me is going to say yes, but I can't comment for certain. Having worked in automotive engineering, I'm aware of OEM tolerances becoming upset by aftermarket components, but I trust H&R as they are a very reputable brand with many years of experience with BMW Products.

The ride is slightly bouncier, but that is to be expected with the higher spring rate. The Sport Plus setting on the Adaptive Suspension harmoniously matches these springs, and the as the car climbs higher in speed, the stability and overall performance of the setup really come into their element.

I know there is a lot of controversy over these springs and the M Adaptive Suspension, but I would highly recommend them if you aren't made of money (like myself) and cant justify the 3-4K+ on a coilover setup.

Just my .02

I do have to admit though, I drove the Mini to work today for the first time in about a week, and eventhough the car has 120BHP + and ECU Flash, that thing still puts a S**T eating grin on my face every single time!

Perfect stance. This should be how it looks from the factory. Great job!

I recently picked up a used Mini Cooper S to hold me over till I get my F80. I have wanted to get one ever since I saw the movie The Italian Job. My son loves it too. He is using it to learn to drive (getting his license in a few months!!) and his mom doesn't want him driving the X5. We will see how long before I judge his driving good enough to get behind the wheel of the M3
