I'd be interest in this also.

If anyone has a link to the software/hardware need to code, i'm happy to purchase and then share the love around.
I've got plenty of experience coding VW/Audi's using VAGCOM/VCDS so I can't see it being that hard.

Under DIY and Coding there is thread 'Coding Software'. ask Shawn Sheridan nicely to PM it to you .
There's also a YouTube tutorial BMW Esys coding tutorial worth watching.
I also found a PDF that someone had written up step by step guide as well (pretty much follows the YouTube tutorial) but I can't remember the thread.
Worth having in front of you when coding.
PM me your email address and I can email it to you.

When you code its recommended to use a battery charger (for lithium ion battery's) when coding. Noco G3500 model About $100 off eBay Or you can code while car is running.

i since bought and have been using the carly app

for the guys who cbf with laptop coding, this is the go

buy their obd connector, and use the app (ios and android) to just click on what you want coded from the drop down menu - it even includes a description

have so far coded video in motion, remove idrive disclaimer, auto start/stop, seatbelt chimes - so much easier to just jump in car and hit start button then m1 and drive off

Sounds great! However, I concerned Insurance Companies will have a reason to reject your claim with video in montion. Can anyone confirm it?

Cheers

Is your insurance rep broker n the car when you have an accident? Would you admit to watching the screen instead of the road? WTH are you doing in an M3/4 doing anything but driving!
